Works great on stain!
This product is the bomb! I have a white fiberglass pool and I had been noticing that it was getting a black-brown stain on the surfaces as well as circles of it. A pool Co. recommended this product and also said it would be cheaper on Amazon. I followed the directions, which were very simple. After 2 days of circulation the stains were gone! Yay!!

it worked beautifully! the instructions were to buy another blue stuff ...
i have an 18 x 36 pool. i used 2 qt bottles of blue stuff first then added the 2lb iron remover. it worked beautifully! the instructions were to buy another blue stuff and add a third bottle each week to keep the stain from reappearing. we followed the instructions but the stain is coming back. I just ordered another 1 lb iron remover and we are going to treat the pool again. this time i bought another product to keep the stain coming back. I wish the cost wasn't so high. it's been about $150 so far and a little frustrating.

I’m stunned
I bought a home with an existing gunite pool about three years ago. The home was 35 years old and I think the pool is nearly as old. It was terribly satined with dark streaks and spots. A few years ago I acid washed the spa section and it turned white but it did leave the finish a bit coarse. I have since tried all kinds of products on the pool with no improvement and was resigned to the fact that I would probably have to acid wash the entire 20K gallon pool as well. The other day I came across this product on Amazon and was skeptical but decided to give it a try. It was a big gamble because I did not pretest the stains to determine the type of staining I had and did not use any of the other Jacks Magic products the instructions recommended to go with this one. I did make sure my chemistry parameters were in the recommended ranges. I put two bottles of this stuff in and where clumps settled the finish turned a bit yellow at first. I brushed the clumps to dissolve them and left the pool pump on for 48 hours. After a few hours there was no change. Eight hours later I finally saw some improvement with the yellow spots I created gone. Every 8 hours or so I would check the progress and each time I felt it was better. At 36 hours I felt it had made about a 50% improvement in stain fading. At the 48 hour mark I was blown away with the results. It was easily 90% as white as the spa section with no damage to the finish. It’s now been 56 hours and it is still getting better. I do have a few bottles of The Blue Stuff on order in case the minimal staining I have left are copper based. So hopefully I don’t mess anything up by adding that. I’ll update this review with those results later.. At this point I can say it was the best $100 I have spent on a pool finish cleaning product. Update: It’s been three days since I added The Blue Stuff, stains have continued to fade and have not returned. I can’t say for sure whether The Blue Stuff made a difference but since it’s been 6 days since my original treatment with this product, well past the 48 hours it is supposed to be effective so I think The Blue Stuff has helped. Satisfied customer here! If I do it again I’ll be sure to add both at the same time per the instructions that I neglected to follow.

Stain remover that works
Used in my 40k gallon and very satisfied with the results. My plaster-finished pool was full of tannin stains caused by vegetation throughout the pool after a poor winter of maintenance - chlorine and scrubbing did not work. I followed the directions, and I would say 90%+ of the stains were completely removed. A few remained in the deep end where the circulation is not as strong, but were barely noticeable. I will come back in the spring and spot treat. Another review warned that this treatment will make the water cloudy, which is true. It has been a few days, and after cleaning the filters, I am already seeing the water not getting clearer. If you have tannin staining in your pool, this is a must-use product.

It doesn’t work
I followed instructions point by point. The stains were removed by 80% for the first week or two but slowly came back - even with no chlorine being added. In the end I was left with a pool as stained as it was plus a huge flare up of black algae I had to deal with. By the way, the product stained my brand new cartridge filters that cost me hundreds of dollars. The instructions doesn’t tell you to remove the cartridges. All in all this is a huge deception. It dilutes the iron in the water, it does t actually remove it. If you want to really get rid of the stains, empty your pool and do an acid wash. It will be cheaper and have the actual results you’re looking for.
