I have a 2006 Jeep Wrangler. Why will this not work for my manual 4.0?

This unit just working for wrangler 1991-2003 with 4.0L.

I installed this on my 97’ Jeep Cherokee xj with the 6 cylinder 4.0 motor. There was no tuning or adjustments needed. The only thing I did which i don’t think is required was I disconnected my battery before I started the project. So it was disconnected for 20-30 minutes. Other than that I just installed it and hooked the battery up. It started right up and I noticed a better throttle response and more power from take off to higher speeds.

Will this work on a 1993 jeep cherokee sport with a 4.0? The description is contradicting

It will work on any 4.0 with the three cable throttle system. I would recommend removing the intake and cleaning the entire system and replacing the idle air, throttle position, MAP and intake air temp sensors at the same time for best results. If installing a cold air i take, be careful to make sure you have hood clearance.
