First thoughts ~ it's gotta all be the same, and this stuff is on the expensive side. After using it ~ daaaaayum. I think I just found my brand. No cons. Only pros:. Works on wood (duh), but also stone. It made a beautiful seal on quartz that wasn't accomplished after emptying an entire can, of a product intended for literally just that one job, on it. Adds a smooth feel and allows for your hand to glide, and water to bead, and it's not greasy. A little goes a long way, parchment paper is also a quick and easy applicator for it. I used it on every piece of wood in the house and still have a lot left. Adds a "tiger's eye" style shimmer to certain woods and knots. Unexpected, and rad turn of events. Highly recommend this product. You won't be sorry. Oh and wear gloves. But if you don't, this also washes off (hands) fairly well. Save yourself the continued search and wonder; get this one. Job done.

As a home cook who only uses wood cutting boards, I can say this product is incredible! Anyone who’s invested a bunch of money on high-end boards knows that you have to take care of them. Frequently buffing with extra fine sandpaper and oiling with food grade mineral oil is a must. I deep clean and polish my boards every other week because they’re in constant use - possibly the most used items in my kitchen. What this product does is seal the wood with a buttery soft wax that makes your boards water-repellent. Literally, water will bead up and provide your board with a nearly impenetrable surface. This not only makes the wood grain look incredible but also keeps bacteria from getting trapped down in the grain. You’re receiving a generous size metal can that will last awhile. I love that the company chose metal for their packaging - totally eco-friendly and no concern of microplastic(s). A tip, let the wood butter dry for a few hours to overnight and then buff with a soft 100% cotton cloth. This leaves a completely streak-free surface and your board will look like new. Using once or twice a month is all it takes, couldn’t be easier and your investment is protected. Finally, there is no smell to this wax - it’s quality!
