Sharon Hinnendael stars as Charlotte, a timid and sheltered teen who has just left an all-girls Catholic school for a new life at a co-ed university. But an ancient evil has followed her here, tormenting her with disturbing nightmares and tempting her with forbidden desires. Review: Get Embraced - This is a remix of the cult classic starring Alyssa Milano(Charmed, Poison Ivy). Charlotte, a young girl from Catholic high school enrolls at a university. She is noit aware that this university holds a terrible secret. She soon starts having nightmares and strange happenings start up. These soon turn into dark desires. The war for the soul begins but does she want to even fight it? Tiio Horn(Defiance, Hemlock Grove), C.C. Sheffield(True Blood), Chelsey Reist(12 Rounds:Reloaded), and Victor Webster(Castle, Continuum) all star in this erotic fantasy/horror masterpiece! Review: I have to say I really liked this version better than the 1993 film - I have to say I really liked this version better than the 1993 film. It has that low budget feel to it but it also gave me a surprise. Normally low budget means poor acting and bad camera feel. But this film surprised me, more like a independent feel to it instead. The actors did well, the location is beautiful. The location has a very Twilight feel to it, but doesn't come close to Twilight itself. The legend of the vampire didn't really keep with the legend and towards the ending of the film it made me want for a sequel to this film, badly. Give it a try if you aren't sure. I didn't expect to like this more than the 1993 film, which left me a little meh!

Okay
This is a remake of the mid-90s movie of the same name starring Alyssa Milano. That was a decent B-level movie, and this I would say is a decent C-level movie. While it shares the name of the original, it is not a shot-for-shot remake and does tell its own story. In this version, Sharon Hinnendael plays Charlotte, a university freshman on a fencing scholarship. She starts having weird dreams and visions and blacking out randomly. She learns she is being stalked by a Vampire who wants to use her to become human. The movie also keeps the Vampire's identity hidden for a while and tries to get you to wonder who it is, as opposed to being upfront about it like the original movie was. And, Charlotte never really does a "bad girl" transformation like Milano's character did in the original movie. There are more sex and violence in this version than in the original, and the special effects are much better. Also, the movie is made up exclusively of unknown and lesser-known actors and actresses, which does not really hurt the movie but does not help it either. For those who get the blu-ray, it is just a bare-bones disc, with some previews before the menu loads and then just the movie itself. No bonus materials or extras. Overall, if you do not expect the movie to be anything more than it is, basically an independent horror movie with no star power in the cast, then it is okay. If you are expecting anything more than that, you will be sorely disappointed. It is definitely not what I would call a must-see either way.

Very suspenseful
I finally found this movie, one of Victor Websters earlier works at a decent price. A unique plot for a kinda campy vampire movie, still love it. Suspenseful and just enough gore. If you love vampire movies I recommend this one.

This movie sucks and it falls very short of living up to the description of it.
This movie did not even come close to the description of it. The entire movie sucked. The only scene that was kind of okay, is when Charlotte went to his cabin to kill him. Other than that, I hated it, barely able to watch it. I had to fast forward it just to get through it. If I could possibly rate lower than one star, I would.
