Love it, love it, love it! Kolbalt is an A+ company that makes A+ products. I have never been disappointed by anything that I have purchased from them. They make high quality, long lasting tools, and they are innovators in the field. The hyper coil light is a perfect example of their quality craftsmanship. The coil is plenty strong to hold the light just where you want it, yet easy enough to manipulate into the desired position. The magnet holds strong, yet not so hard that you have to pry it off. I love that it's rechargeable, but can be battery operated if needed. The charger is part of the base, so it will never get lost or misplaced, and you'll never have to dig through your tool box to find the right adapter. Plus, no cords! The plug just slides out of the base. Sure, Lowe's website has it listed on sale for less (it's original price is $39.98), but they also want $5.99 for shipping, bringing the total to over $25. If you, like me, are a prime member, the price difference of less than $3 is insignificant, as shipping is free here on Amazon. This had replaced all my flashlights. I keep it on the side of the fridge, so it's always easy to grab in an emergency. I stick it to the underside of my hood when working on my car in the dark. It allows for hands-free operation, while putting the light exactly where you need it in almost any situation. No more "hey, could you hold that flashlight for me? No, not right there, right here. A little higher...no, now a little lower. Point the light beam right there....oh god d#@n it!" Anyone who has ever tried to have someone hold a light for them while working, say, under the sink, knows what I'm talking about! Your helper well never get the light just where you want it, and they will always start to let the light droop after a minute or two. No more! Wrap the coil around the pipe, point the head exactly where you want, and you're good to go! I've used clip on work lights in the past, but there isn't always a place to clip something. And other coil lights, like Dewalts, have heavy, bulky bases that make them hard to use in tight places. This is the best design, of any portable work light out there, period. Do yourself a favor, and get one. And don't worry about it's long term performance, it's a Kolbalt. It will last.

Outstanding hands-free flashlight. Best I've found for the price ($16.00). Choice of 4 light options (bright flashlight, dim flashlight, area light, flashing area light). Works for hours & hours on a charge. Nice to be able to just pull out the charging plug from the battery base & charge it while you use the light on the other battery pack! I don't use the "snake" connection as it's just too long (jalmost 2') to be practical for my purposes, but the magnetic base & swivel head are immensely useful. I dropped my first one, got it wet, covered in grease, etc. & it worked great until I dropped it if a building (!), so I bought 2 more to have a spare~ LOVE IT!

Appears to be a decent light. I like the low power and lantern feature. I Like the weather resistant case. The plastic on it feels cheap. If this light lasts two years it's a good buy. Go to Lowes it's cheaper than here. They have it for 8.99 with a bonus pouch you can use for small items in your tool kit. The B&D snake light seems to be about the same quality although it has better coil adjustability but less lumens, less of a warranty and it costs two to three times the hyper-coil.

Son and friend were tickled to death with the light, paid alittle more than I would have paid at Lowes but lowes was sold out. I thought it was worth paying alittle more rather than going out and facing the Christmas rush and still not being sure they would have 2. It works well and arrived on time and well packaged. Only reason for 4 stars is the price was more than in the stores.

Light is bright and the battery last longer than expected. Would definitely recommend

I missed my old B&D Snakelight and I wanted another one. This has a lot more features, like two separate battery packs (one lithium and one uses AAs) The LED light is bright enough for any project - the main beam can focus and has two brightness settings. The beacon (white ring) has both on and blink settings. The head pivots 90 degrees. You can also use it without the snake by connecting the light head to one of the battery packs. The snake is very stiff, but I expect that to get better over time. Plastic quality seems good. The operating pushbutton switch is very small and difficult to find in the dark. Overall, this is a great light and I would recommend it.

Product came previously opened and broken.

Great light but broke without me using it more than a couple times. The coil between the battery and the flashlight disconnected internally and is only hanging on by the wires causing it to flop around. Disappointed because the light itself is so good.
