Much Better Than High End Cast Iron
Updated May 2012 - I wrote the first review in January. After using these pans daily since we received them, I have to say they're still terrific. I know some of the reviews report that the non-stick coating doesn't last, but we haven't had any issues with them. I don't wash the pans. I do wipe them out with a dish towel as soon as I remove food from them, when they're still warm. I keep them seasoned with a small amount of coconut oil. Occasionally, residue builds up on the side of one of the pans. When that happens, I fill the pan with warm water and add an anti-grease dish soap, such as Dawn or Ful-Sol, and let it soak overnight. Then I just rinse it out and dry it with a towel--no scrubbing and no more residue. I season the pan before using it again. I'm very careful not to use metal utensils for cooking; instead, I use silicon, wood, or utentils made specifically for non-stick pans. -------- January 2012 - We've been concerned for some time about toxins from traditional non-stick pans. So we invested in high end French cast iron several years ago. They're expensive and heavy, and not as non-stick as we'd hoped. After reading the reviews, we decided to try the 3-Pan set of Green Earth Pans and are delighted we did. As avid Atkins dieters, we eat a lot of protein, particularly eggs and fish. Both brown nicely in the Green Earth pans, and can be cooked with little to no oil or butter. Clean up is simple--just a wipe with a soft cloth or sponge, which we prefer over paper towels. We've been looking at ceramic pans for a while and were careful about investing. Most brands seemed expensive and unproven. The price point with Green Earth was what we were looking for and the Amazon reviews helped us make the decision to buy. It was a good decision, and one we'd make again.

Best of the best, they do require oil like most other non stick, but much less
The pans seem to be a newer version than one negative review I saw on you tube, the bottom of the pan in flat instead of having little cylander protrusions. I have used the pans about 3 times, they do say on the box that they use much less oil, so I don't think their intended to be 100% non stick, I think this is true for most brands that advertise none stick, I am really carefully when storing them I place the pans inside eachother with paper towels in between like the instructions say, not specifically, buritto just says. No pan on pan contact for longevity, it also says to oil the pans every few times before storing them, I oil them every time. I like how they cook and the fact that. No other ceramic coated pan advertises their pan as being free from lead, this one is free from all heavy metals. If you like to make stir fry I would suggest you get the matching glass lid for the 12 in pan. You next step is replacing your rice cooker with a stainless steel one, the very best of the best is the tantung in ss. I will probably post another comment in a few months to talk about the non stick, but I really don't see that as an issue if you use less amounts of oil like the box says. I see stuff sticking to them without using oil, just get yourself a special brush that you can brush on small amounts of oil with. I've looked into the pump oil misters like misto but if you are worried about aluminum then you should consider other options like a bottle with a spout of the oil brush, I've tried buying the universal spouts they sell everywhere but they don't fit flush with the bottle and the plastic cap gets in the way of pouring and it is also sometimes hard to remove without pulling the spout out of the bottle. I saw the oil brush on dr oz and it looks like the best way, I'm sure there are different kinds. Good luck with getting healthy.

Great Choice
When it came time to replace our old pans I did considerable research. I wanted pans that were non stick, non toxic and reasonably priced. The Ozeri pans seemed to satisfy all my requirements. I have used the pans now for 2 and 1/2 months. I wanted to make sure they had a good "test drive" before I reviewed them. I knew of several individuals who had purchased other brands and found that initially they were stick free but after several uses found that eggs, in particular, stuck to the pan surface. I am very pleased to state that after 2 1/2 months of regular use the Ozeri pans have held up beautifully. As per Ozeri's instructions I do periodically use a little oil in the pan. I do not over wash the pans and do not use high heat when cooking. The pans cook beautifully using moderate and low heat settings. I have slightly damaged one pan because I burnt what I was cooking. My fault not the pans. The pan became discolored and there is a mark on the ceramic surface where the item burned. But it is still non stick. I am glad I did the research and chose the Ozeri pans.

Ozeri ALL Stick pans
There are not enough negatives in my vocabulary to describe my disappointment with this set of pans. EVERYTHING sticks. I bought them April 2012 and they have never worked properly despite meticulous care. They do cook non stick eggs if you flood the pan with oil and do not allow the food to come in contact with the pans. But what's the point? Food sticks to the waffle like bottom of these pans. I don't know the folks writing positive reviews but question how so many loved these awful pans. I gave one star because they hold food and can be heated. But you may well regret this purchase. Update: 2-19-1013 I was contacted by the company regarding my review. They offered to replace the pans. I was very surprised. It seems they do monitor the reviews. I wonder if we low raters got part of a bad batch of coatings. If they do in fact replace them and they work, I will have to change my review. I have to give them credit for what appears to be real customer service. UPDATE #2 Ok In March the new set arrived as promised. I want to make sure the last small pan didn't crash due to pilot error so i read the instructions for the umpteenth time. The instructions say to "precondition" pans prior to first use. I do a lot of BBQ and grilling and I was pretty sure they didn't meant "season" as I do on the grill grates. i.e. coat with oil and burn it off. . {and No, I do not use the pans on a grill ] But to make sure what "precondition" meant, I emailed the company. They got back to me within a day, as they have in the past. Again, this is serious customer service. Turns out, according to Rachel K at Ozeri in California, it is recommended that you lightly coat the pans with cooking oil and store them like that between meals. Not sure how sanitary that is but I will do as recommended. I now think maybe my expectations were too high for today's eco friendly products. I remember frying eggs with no vegetable oil at all. I thought that was healthy. ECO is latin for "good for the environment but can't possibly work as well because by law we have to take out the stuff that works best" . Ever use an eco-friendly cleanser? 'Nuff said. Apparently gone are the days of true non-stick since the materials used in the old pans may cause cancer in California laboratory attorneys and has been outlawed. But if these pans result in less pollution in some way, i am all for it. So... I give the company 5 stars for customer service, and this review should be considered minimum three stars for that reason alone. However since smart folks read the bad reviews first, I will leave it here for now. I will be back to let you know if i can fry an egg and get most of it out of the pan. Update, April 2013. Well these new ones work work with sufficient oil in the pan. I have not tried to fry anything without oil and do not expect to. Go ahead and buy a set. I must have gotten a bad batch before, but no way to prove that. Fair is fair. This is now a four star rating. Partly because the pans do seem to be fine now, and partly due to the excellent customer service. That's it. I'm done. UPDATE 11-13 I now have a rust color inside the tiny waffle pattern over much of one pan. I have babied this pan, never been ion a dishwasher, always hand washed with gentle detergent and warm water. Food sticks and I have no clue what the stuff I am seeing is. For the life of me i don't understand all the positive ratings No way i would buy another set. I give up.

3-6 month use
My husband got me this set after our other pan finally died on us. Initially, I LOVED these pans. Easy to use, clean, and the food was great b/c heat was evenly distributed. We're at about a 6 month time frame out from purchase and I'm about to toss the 2nd pan of the 3 out. First, the mid size went - and I take responsibility for that one. I was not careful with it and scratched it. The largest one I have treated very carefully and it too is now scratched. To give you a frame of reference: I do use these 3-5 times a week, so it could just be heavy usage. Over the past three months, it has become increasingly difficult to clean the non-stick surface b/c things were so stuck to it. It had to soak for a long time before I could even try to clean it. Since I had to be careful not to scratch it, this was very frustrating. My initial love for these pans would've given them 10 stars, but it's faded faster than it should in my opinion.

Good with occasional use, NOT non-stick after 3 months of heavy use
I bought set of 3 with ceramic non-stick coating on Dec. 2012 as New Year gift. All family have used 10" pan the most, every day and couple times through the day. There are many users to one pan. For 3 months it was a grate, charming experience as advertised. Quick warm up with oil for better taste, no problem at all. We follow the instruction how to clean the pan, no high heat, it was very easy. Unfortunately, after 3 months things start change to the worth - food start stick to the pan's bottom and it starts take more time to clean up. Since I used to work with true ceramic (pottery) myself, I start experiment a little bit with the pan in hope to restore non-stick feature. I warm up on the lower temperature for 5 min. Then I take a paper towel 1 piece, made a small puffy ball of it, put a very little Canola oil (around 1/2 tsp) on the bottom of the pan and then brush-oil by paper ball, then let it warm up another 2 min. After that I add a little bit more oil (around 1 Tbsp) and carefully clean up all dirt from pan, waffle bottom, almost each cell, and inside walls. Heavily used pan starts work again, but it still required more time for cleaning and more prep time before frying anything, eggs, meet, potato, vegetables, etc. From now on we warm up pan for 1 or 2 min(for meet, fish or potato), then brush-oil with canola oil and continue warm up for 1 or 2 more min, then add oil for taste and warm up for few sec, so oil get ready for frying, then add everything we need to fry. DO NOT USE high heat at all, only middle or lower. As per cleaning after use: clean warm, not hot, pan with oil to remove trash, use Canola or Olive oil, not Corn, not virgin-olive oil or sunflower oil. Let it fully cool down. Gently wash with liquid soap. Dry by soft towel. Do not leave to dry itself! 8" and 12" pans are rarely used, so they still work properly, as advertised, non-stick, after 6 months. If you are ready to be patient after 3 months of magic and become used to more prep time (warm up for 1 or 2 min on the middle temperature) and longer clean up then it is your product, go ahead buy and use, and enjoy! If you have no patient and fully trust advertising then be prepare for surprises and think before buy. I gave only 3 stars because with heavy load it worked only for 3 months as truly non-stick without any extra care.

Pretty Good Pans (formerly: Absolutely Wonderful Pans)
I was completely surprised and impressed by the quality of these PTFE-free, PFOA-free, ceramic-coated pans. I've been wanting to replace my old, mis-matched Teflon-coated pans for years but just never seemed to find what I thought was the right (good quality and affordable) product. Finally, I have, and the old pans are history. What a relief it was to send them on their way... still kicking myself for delaying so long. These Ozeri Green Earth pans were on my Amazon wish list for several months before I actually pulled the purchase trigger and I had forgotten about some of their features by the time I moved them to my cart. Hence the surprise when they arrived. I had forgotten about the nice oven-proof (up to180 degrees C / 356 degrees F) silicone handles and the elevated texture on the inside bottoms of the pans. This patterned surface distributes heat to facilitate even cooking and prevent food from sticking to the pan. It also makes clean-up a snap -- they are way less sticky than the Teflon pans I had. The packaging includes a well-written instruction sheet that discusses the care and use of the pans... definitely worth reading. Examples include such cautions as to not using metal utensils in the pans, not cutting food in the pans, not cooking on extremely high heat (these are not woks or cast iron), and not cleaning the pans before allowing them to cool, etc. One other important suggestion is to season the pans with a very small amount of oil (olive, coconut, butter, etc.) before cooking. It is suggested that you wipe away any excess oil because only the smallest amount is needed. Also, you shouldn't use non-stick sprays that might contain harmful additives. This "seasoning" suggestion is not a big deal to me because I always use some type of oil to cook with anyway... usually one of the three mentioned above. The 3-pack also includes three, thick felt inserts to place between the pans when nesting them in a cupboard... a nice touch to help keep from scratching the pans. I haven't purchased the matching glass lids yet (still using old generic glass lids) but they are on my wish list... so you know it's gonna happen eventually. ;) I can't imagine anyone not liking these pans. Update: 3/5/2016: I've reduced the star count to 4 because I've found that over time (2+ years) the non-stick characteristic of these pans has diminished a good bit. In other words, I'm finding that more often than not, food is sticking to the pans with a little more gusto. Not a huge deal but a bit of an annoyance. I've since purchased a couple of other pans that are much lighter and that, so far, have retained their non-stick feature. Perhaps I should note that I have always used these pans on a glass-topped electric stove and have never used them in the oven.

Our Favorite Pan (s)
I purchased this for my husband who loved to use metal utensils in the Teflon pans, we would go thru one every two months I think. I could not stand the thought of the amount of Teflon I ate. I purchased our first pan, a 10 " and we both were amazed, nothing stuck, easy removal and well cooked foods! My mom has had a flat top stove since corning made them in the 70's and we always were on the look out for flat bottom pans. The Ozeri has the unique fanning at the bottom, so I got her one. She now feels the same way as we do. She has one of the new flat top stoves now and was struggling with pans and this one she babies. It stands alone. She has it sitting in a paper plate, with a paper plate inside it, covered by a paper towel, ready to use for everything. Seriously. I recently found the 3 pan set for a great price here on Amazon and bought it for us. For Mom's birthday I bought a set for her and it arrived at the perfect time. My plan was to take the 10 " from her set and the 10 " from our set and give them to my twin sisters their birthdays. The Green Earth Frying Pan 3-Pan Set by Ozeri (8", 10", 12"), with Textured Ceramic Non-Stick Coating from Germany (100% PTFE and PFOA Free) The 10" Green Earth Frying Pan by Ozeri, with Smooth Ceramic Non-Stick Coating (100% PTFE and PFOA Free) I wish I could afford to buy all my friends a starter! Thank you for the great product!
