Worked well with OEM Makita Charger and Hedger
I recently bought a Makita hedger -- the 22 inch model tool only (great hedger -- nice and light, easy to handle -- see my review and others on that product) -- and needed some batteries to go along with it. I did also recently purchase the Makita 36 volt (18v x2) string trimmer which did come with 2 oem batteries and the oem double charger. I wanted some extra batteries so that I could loan this hedger out to family members and not then putting my string trimmer out of commission. As you can see the Makita batteries are expensive and as I use my hedger infrequently so I opted for this option. Battery life is good. I used it to hedge for at least 45 minutes -- not all hedging -- I took some breaks, raked up clippings, then back at it. Still had juice when I stopped. With the two pack I won't have an issue doing what I need to do around my yard. Fit into my oem double charger no problem. As for the overall life of this battery. Hard to say now as I just got it but at this price it was worth whatever gamble I am taking. Worked well, would recommend.

Good replacement battery for a lot less money.
I’m giving them a five star review at this point. I’ve only charged them once but they came up to full voltage 5 bars fully charged and two 5Ah batteries lasted me all afternoon in my shop with quite a lot of hard usage, drilling in mild 1/4” to 3/8” steel also some 1/2” aluminum. So definitely worth the money. Basically I got 2 batteries with double Ah rating of 5Ah vs one with 2.5Ah capacity (Makita) for approximately the price of one, definitely win win in my books. If these last close to the Makita batteries I will be buying more. If not I will re-rate them at that point.

Be warned…
These are NOT made by Makita. One battery never did charge and the other lasted only a few months and was also ill fitting. Total junk!!! DO NOT BUY…

Two thumbs up!
Works as described. I was worried with it not being OEM but works great. Charges with my original OEM charger too. Happy with this purchase. Battery seems to hold well. Great value considering the cost.

works well with Makita tools. Price point is excellent. I find no difference between OEM brand or these aftermarket brand batteries other than price.

I am a faithful Makita loyalist. So I was sceptical of third-party batteries but these replacements batteries seem as good as Makita brand batteries. I am really hard on my tools and so I've order a few batteries over the years and they seem to last as long and are 100% compatible. Honestly, I wouldn't order outrageously-priced regular Makita batteries ever again.

They hold less power than a regular Makita brand battery of the exact same type. When you use them, the power drains faster. They also can be recharged faster, however. Other than that it's quite the replica. I would say it's a good replacement. If you are aiming at preserving your real Makita batteries to ensure they have a longer lifespan, you can also use those. Personally I used them for my Makita chainsaw when the weather was harsher for electric tools to make sure my real Makita batteries would stay away from corrosion as long as possible. I think it's worth the price, as long as they don't equal the price of Makita batteries.
