Much to my shock and dismay I got a diagnosis of osteoporosis a year ago after I had a dexa scan done as part of a physical. I am in my early sixties and a small female. I have always been active, walked at least 30 minutes a day and took a multivitamin so I thought I was good, especially since I lived in a third story apt where I had to climb three flights of stairs every day for over 20 years. However the t score was -3 which is definitely osteoporosis in my hip. I tried one fosamax pill which gave me such bad acid reflux I looked for another solution. After research I found that you need K2 as well as vitamin D to move calcium out of your blood vessels into your bones . Most of the studies that showed bone increase used 45 mg of m4 k2 a day, which along with other bone friendly ingredients like vitamin d, magnesium and boron are included in this supplement so I ordered it. You need 4 pills a day with food, I took 2 in morning and two late afternoon. I took my second dexa scan one year later this month, new score t-1.8 ! This moved me out of osteoporosis catagory into osteopena which means my bones are still too light but is a huge improvement in the score . I am hoping in another year to be normal but am delighted with the improvement so far. I did I increase my walking from one 40 min walk a day to two walks but sincerely all that other walking did not help the first dexa score so I think it was probably a minor contribution to the improvement in the second (it did help me lose weight though, lol). I would also highly recommend a book I read in my research called " Vitamin K2 and the calcium paradox". It discussed how k2 was discovered and the studies that found k2 is critical for proper calcium absorption from blood vessels to bones. Without enough K2 and vitamin D most of your injested calcium just sits in your arteries and causes plaques . It's a fascinating book and I highly recommend it if you want to do a deep dive into the research. By the way, don't be put off by the label saying 45 mg of k2 is over 1000 percent of the daily RDA, from what I understand there is no RDA for k2 so they listed the RDA for K1 instead which is an entirely different molecule that has mostly clotting effects. Of course you should always discuss a new supplement with your doctor before taking it especially if you are on other medicines that could interact with it.

Using this to replace Osteo MD. Has all necessary ingredients at better ratios. Will take 2 years (bone density scans) to see if its better for me.

I bought this supplement following a spinal TLIF surgery to help promote fusion of my vertebrae; too early to tell if they are working or not but a few things worth nothing: 1) with both bottles I ordered, the inside was very chalky, so when taking pills you get a bit of a taste and may be harder to swallow 2) pills are big but easy to swallow, I wouldn’t do all 4 at once 3) I started spreading the serving size of 4 pills over two doses; I found that when I took all four at once, I would get stomach cramps followed by diarrhea. Not sure if it’s the magnesium or something else 4) still get stomach bubbles after taking only 2 pills at a time, but not as bad **UPDATTE 3 MONTHS POST SURGERY** After a few x-rays, surgeon is already seeing some bone growth, a very positive sign. he stated that he doesn't see bone until the 6 month mark, so this supplement is definitely helping. Highly recommend.
