There is a voltage of 770vDC across the grid (I put my multimeter across the bars). The current won't be more than a few mA, so it won't kill you, just teach you not to be so stupid. **Q: What size batteries are they please? Hoping they are AA or AAA** A: It takes two AA's, it is the most effective killer of unpleasant flies, moths in your house, who ever designed it should get the OBE. **Q: Is this thing supposed to give electric shocks even without pressing the on button. I had a small shock as I opened the packaging. Is mine faulty?** A: Perhaps the on button got pressed during the packaging process. Once it is pressed the gadget holds its charge until it touches on something (in theory a fly, but in reality, anything including your own hand!). It holds this charge for ages - I have discovered this through bitter experience. Hope this helps. **Q: Will these batteries fit? they say 'baby' size c... http://www.amazon.co.uk/uniross-ni-mh-2600-rechargeable-batteries/dp/b00008gsy8** A: What? There are 2 types of Executioner'sOne runs on 2 x AA batteries and the other is the Pro that runs on type 2 x C batteries, these are the smaller of the larger type D round batteries, they can be found in most good supermarkets or even online thru Amazon, i use Duracell Plus size C batteries. The Executioner standard model has a slightly smaller head than the Pro and does the same job but personally i prefer the Bigger headed Pro, i have both and bring the standard one on holidays as it is easier to find 2 x AA batteries in foreign countries like Brazil or Spain ## Frequently Bought Together - The Executioner Twin Pack Electric Bug Zapper Fly Swatter Wasp, Mosquito, Bug, Insect Killer Single Layer Racket Efficient Zapping Indoor Outdoor Long Handle 50cm (The Executioner 2 Pack) - Zero In Outdoor Fly Trap - Ready-Baited Outdoor Fly Catcher, Twin Pack - Non-Toxic, Insect Trap to Attract & Trap Bugs - Suitable for Garden & Outdoor Use, Lasts up to 2-3 Weeks - Ram® 20 x Pesticide Free Fly Paper, Sticky Fly Catchers Set for Indoor or Greenhouse --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.it/products/449468944-the-executioner-electric-fly-swatter-twin-pack-bug-zapper-racket](https://www.desertcart.it/products/449468944-the-executioner-electric-fly-swatter-twin-pack-bug-zapper-racket) --- *Product available on Desertcart Italy* *Store origin: IT* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
