Nikon PROSTAFF P3 10x42 Binoculars

Good binoculars clear not too heavy

Not an expert but I can certainly see and touch the quality of these binoculars. Great for hikes and nature escapes with kids

I upgraded from 8x32 Oregon 4 to the Nikon Prostaff 10x42, really pleased i did, better magnification and far lighter without compromising field of vision or clarity which both surpass the Oregon 4. Good case. Light enough for my grandchildren to use and easy to use, its that stable to use, and so for me represents good value for money .

I thought Nikon had its own in house manufacturing in Japan. I find the binoculars are made in China. Very good binoculars quality wise. Not too heavy, very good image, fiddley to fit strap. I wear glasses and find them easy to use wearing glasses

I'm very happy with the Nikon Prostaff P3 10x42 binoculars. I compared them against the Prostaff P3 10x30 (slightly smaller and lighter) and the Hawke Vantage 10x42. For me personally, I didn't like the Hawke's. It really was a hard decision between the P3 10x30's and the 10x42's. Obviously the 10x42's cost more, are heavier and larger, but they are easier to hold, and the viewing experience is just better (for me at least). Image is nice and sharp, focusing is very precise and smooth. Build quality is very good. I did notice that the 10x30's can focus down to a distance of 2m or so, whereas these have a minimum focus distance of around 3.5m. Carrying case is fine, but not quite as good as the Hawkes.

Great binoculars good quality ideal for bird watching

This is compact and gives a nice sharp image. However, it's cost cutting has lead to purple fringing. But given the cost, some image degradation is expected. The item is lightweight and comes with lens caps. There's a fair amount of adjustment for spectacle wearers. I would recommend it to others
