Good quality for kids.
Fun for kids. Santa brought this for my kids (5 and 9) and when they were bored they’d go outside and crack some. It kept them occupied for a very long time.

Hit activity!
I bought these for my tutoring students. We were studying paleontology and dinosaurs! The kids love digging th out and looking up information about tue fossil. Not a huge mess. I put on a paper plate and let them go to town!

Great for little kids!
I work with kindergarten through second grade and these were great! They are very easy to break into they are easy enough to find the fossil quickly without the kid losing interest. IT IS SUPER MESSY 😭 I should have planned better but my whole classroom became dusty. It was everywhere. So please do it outside or in a place where it's easier to clean up. One of the blocks did not come with a fossil, I helped the student who had it, we basically broke the block into a powder and we didn't see it. DONT PUT WATER ON IT It will become sticky and hard. 9/10 would recommend.

Very small fossils. and empty sand.
I am very disappointed in this Fossil dig kit. I am so glad I bought this for my husband and not children. We chiseled out all 12 sand blocks and 2 of them did not have any fossils in them. 1 sand fossil broke into 3 pieces. So we only got 9 fossils. We soak them in water to soften them and the sand comes apart easily. We would have had some very unhappy children if they were bought for children. Also some of the fossils are small.
