Review: Top notch pre workout - This is by far one of my favorite pre-workouts. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent pump but you'll need more than one scoop to release the beast

So, the thing about the pre-workout reviews is that they are extremely subjective. What works for me may not work for you and vice versa. That being said, I consider myself somewhat of a pre-workout newb. I'm not ripped, I'm no gym rat, just a mid 40's dude trying to keep the beer gut in check. I've tried several of these products including Cellucor, Nitrox and Lit and so far I think Mr. Hyde works the best. Let's start with the basics, flavor. I had high hopes for the Blue Razz Popsicle flavor and yes, it does taste like blue raspberry a bit but with a chemical tang to it. It's not terrible but it's not pleasant either. Regardless I was able to chug it down without gagging so that's a win. How about consistency? Well, it's a fine powder and dissolves fairly well with a shaker cup but there always seems to be some residual solids in the bottom. I've tried adding a bit more water and shaking it like a shake weight to no avail, solids still there. I just dump that bottom part out - no big deal. Now to the most important criteria - the pump! As with any supplement you should always start small and see how it affects you. I started off with a half scoop to get a feel for it. Well, that didn't do squat for me - no "ants crawling" and no additional "pump". The second time I used a full scoop and this time I did feel the effects but they were still sub-par for what I was hoping for. Today I used a scoop and a half and sweet baby Jesus, it unleashed the fury! Tingling skin? check. Ants crawling? check. Sudden urge to rip my shirt off like Hulk Hogan and start tossing mofo's over the top rope? Hell yeah brother! The pump was fairly long lasting, I'd say about 40 minutes or so which was most of my workout. This was definitely the sweet spot for my body chemistry so I'll stick with this dosage going forward. This may not be right for everyone, but it works pretty well for me. If you're looking for something with a great flavor, good luck cuz this ain't it. If you want to feel like you can tear doors off of their hinges then this is DEFINITELY the one you want!
