Can I use this in the shower without rusting?

I've not used it inside of my shower, but it's right next to the kitchen sink in my home with a lot of moisture around it. It holds a damp towel all the time. It's stainless steel, so it generally you should be rust free. However, what you may want to confirm is that the sticky pads work on shower tiles that will always be warm and moist. The pads may not be rated for that level of moisture. You can look into Command strips that are meant to be used in the shower.

How can I remove it and place it somewhere else

If you've already placed it somewhere it will be very difficult to remove and reposition as the adhesive is very strong. Depending on what surface it's currently on, you could try using heat from a hair dryer as you pry it off. It will likely take paint or drywall with it, though. Might be better to leave in place and purchase another...

Can this be reversed so that the opening is to the left?

Yes, you can choose to install it on the left side, but note that the uppermost part of the rod will be down when you install it on the left side, if you think it's OK then that's fine.
