FrogTape Multi-Surface Painters Tape with PAINTBLOCK, 1.5 Inch Wide (1.41 In. x 60 Yds), Medium Adhesion, Green, 4 Rolls (240660)

I am not a professional painter, but over the past few decades, I have painted numerous boats, houses, apartments, commercial spaces, etc, either for myself or as part of jobs I formerly held. For the longest time, I didn't bother using masking tape (when paining by hand) because it almost always bled through, or if not, it would pull the paint off of whatever surface I was trying to protect. Either way, it created more work for me than it saved, compared to just taking my time when cutting in by hand. But I have to admit, the green Frogtape has won me over. I first used it maybe 5 years ago in my own home (to make a striped accent wall in the nursery), and since then, it's all I'll buy now. Whether using on flat yet bumpy surfaces like painted drywall, or complex yet smooth surfaces like baseboard or crown moulding, it seals consistently and reliably, and comes off easily without causing any damage, even on freshly painted surfaces. Additionally, I recently started loading Frogtape into their competitor's Blue Tape Applicator, and the combination of these two products is unbeatable in terms of time saved as well as quality and consistency of outcome. Took me about an hour or so to tape around ~400 linear feet of baseboard and window/door trim over about 1100 sq ft of wall space. And I only had one small spot of bleed-through, which was my fault for not cleaning that section of moulding as well as I should have, leading to the tape not adhering as well as it wanted to.

Frog tape is awesome. I used several rolls painting on the exterior of our house and garage. This tape made perfect, no drip or bleed through lines. It's easy to apply and is worth what you pay. It's versatile and handy to use both inside and out.

This tape was recommended in a Wirecutter review for labelling freezer and other food containers. It works alright, but it doesn't live up to the "sticks to everything" claim.

Great painter’s tape. Wider than the standard size and easy to use. Great sticking power but not to the point where you cannot take it off.

If you’re needing tight lines for painting feature walls, this is a great tape. You still need to do a firm press on the edge where the new color is going down. If there’s an enormous contrast between the two paints next to each other, I recommend still doing the edge painting trick of the perpendicular wall to the one you’re. No frogs were harmed in the making of the tape.

This is what Thomas Keller uses in the kitchens of his high-end restaurants to keep track of food container dates and contents. This tape stays on in fridge and freezer, it’s easy to write on, and it peels off with no residue. Been using for a year or two; don’t know how I ever got along without it.

Amazing! I just assumed all painters tape worked the same and that I sucked at applying it. Turns out we just needed FrogTape! Look at our before (green painters tape from Home Depot vs FrogTape)

Fabulous tape for all painting needs. Easy to apply and adjust if required. Removes with ease although occasionally does tear. No leaks of paint unlike cheaper tapes.
