This is the go to gift for any expectant mother. I received this book years ago when I was expecting my first child. This book has the greatest tips on caring for your baby. This will take you from birth to potty training.

Such a great book for anyone expecting a newborn!! My husband and I are expecting our first and we've been reading this in the evenings to help prepare us for the big transition. It has been so helpful with practical information about everything baby related. It lays out all the facts in a very friendly inviting way that's easy to read, helping us make descisions together about things like circumcision, etc. And also talks about things like bonding with baby which helps us get excited about meeting our little one for the first time. A very nice balance of practical, yet keeping a very positive view. Deffinatly recomend! Side note: there is also stuff in there about introducing new baby to older siblings etc. so I would recommend even if this is not your first or if baby is already born. There's literally everything you need to know in there!

My midwife recommended this book to me after my son’s birth and I didn’t hesitate to order it. So far it’s very informative and has a ton of answers to a ton of my questions! I have not had the chance to read the entire book yet however, it’s quite the read. When it arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the book! They aren’t kidding when they call it the “baby bible”. It’s for a bit of everything in it.

This book has saved me so much anxiety, stress, and probably ER trips! I love the approach they use to parenting, and the insight they give into baby development. The section of infant sickness and emergencies is very helpful. I’ve bought this for multiple friends who have had babies after me, and will continue to buy it as a shower gift for all new moms. If you get one book on raising an infant and toddler, this is the one you get. You don’t read it from cover to cover, but rather look up whatever you need in the index and review that page. We used it more than online because it was quick and clear and concise.

This was my favorite book 28 years ago and I bought the updated version for the next generation. A life saver when you are trying to decide if he or she is sick enough to warrant a trip to emergency. Lots of tips on what is 'normal'. Excellent breastfeeding info!
