Yuppy Puppy Treat Machine is made from cherry red cast metal with glass globe. Watch your dog push the handle down to dispense treats or food. Vends most dry pet foods. 13" high. Review: Awesome dog toy! - I bought this for my 2 dogs after seeing it in my groomer's salon. I have one dog who is really smart, and he figured it out easily. I just showed him a couple of times, and now he gets treats whenever he wants. I just put dog food in there, and he doesn't over-eat anyway, so he can have as much as he wants. Then there is the dumb dog...she has no idea where the food is coming from, but she loves the toy too. The smart dog will go over, hit the bone handle, and walk away. He leaves the food there for the dog who can't figure it out! He'll also leave food in there for the cat. It's a great toy for a smart dog, but another dog might not be able to figure it out. Review: You'll LOVE watching your dog give himself treats - and entertain your friends! - This was the most difficult "trick" that I've taught my yellow lab, but it was well worth it. Initially he wanted to get his mouth in the shoot or bite at the bowl. With patience, my husband and I repeatedly placed his paw on the bone lever until he eventually (WEEKS later) totally got it! Once he knew what he needed to do, we let him keep hitting away to reinforce the right approach. He's even used his nose when he's had a sore leg, making it more difficult to use his paw. We DO have to keep it on a counter that he can't reach, so it's supervised use only or he would empty it. Friends and family enjoy watching our lab do this so much that we've bought these for gifts for other dog lovers! We fill it with Charlie Bear treats, which are the perfect size. If we run out, we temporarily put some dry chow in it.

Dog loved it, eventually something inside broke and now it no longer works, lasted long enough that I'm not disappointed in buying it, but would have been nice to last a little longer with how much it cost.

Great product, tons of fun for the dog
My dog goes nuts when she sees me get this thing out. She taught herself to use it after about five minutes; I didn't even show her how (she happens to be very food motivated.) I loaned my first one to a friend and never got it back so finally just ordered another one because my dog likes t so much. She's a really smart and loves puzzles to keep her mind occupied, so this toy is perfect. She's always sad when it's time to put it away. EXCELLENT TOY!!!

very very disappointed in the product quality
very very disappointed in the product quality. Not worth the price. Had one in the past that I had purchased from Pet Smart for 1/2 the price. This one was smaller. The quality is plastic (other was cast iron). Even the Bone lever is positioned at a 90degree angle instead of a 45 degree as it should be to allow the pet to dispense it easily. Would NOT recommend this product or purchase another one from Amazon.

Instant doggie enthusiasm
Well, my 3-year-old male Australian Cattle Dog picked this up within minutes. Tonight (his second exposure to it) he fed himself dinner. This is about the most enthusiastic he's been about anything, so I'm happy. It is somewhat light weight for an enthusiastic dog, and he's tipped it over several times. I may have to anchor it to a board or something, and it would be nice if it came with anchor point to help do that. It seems to drain food well and not leave stuff in the globe. Overall, I'm quite pleased with it, and so is Carter.

Treat Eating Machine
My dog is starting to get the hang of using the treat machine. She is a little rambunctious and tends to hit the globe part of the machine, and sometimes knocks it over completely. My only recommendation would be to put some sort of gripping surface on the bottom to prevent this with other excited dogs. The quality is great and I like how it slows down her eating process... I'm considering using it for her daily feedings! I have already recommended the product to all of my dog loving friends. Thank you!

love it!
it is adorable watching my dog take treats from this! at first she didn't get it and for a while i got worried that i wasted my money. but eventually she figured it out and now she will just lay on the floor hitting the lever over and over again like she's playing slots and winning every pull. HAHA, its so cute, but i have to watch her or watch how much food i put in it because she will eat it til its gone, not because she is a food crazy dog but because she has fun hitting the lever.
