Review: good for the money and my first starter pocket watch - I wanted to get a nice pocket watch, but I didn’t want to jump into something that was $200- $500 at first but decided to get a starter and move up from there, but I’m pretty happy with it. I may even buy a secondary design. They’re really nice looking. Solid watch. The weight is nice. Build quality seemed fine and it looks beautiful at least for me. Pretty easy to use not complex. Just wake up at a specific time in the morning and start winding them. I started winding mine at about 10 AM or midday the very first time. The easiest time is do it whenever you wake up early in the morning start the process there AM time in the morning or whenever you start the watch. Example, if you get the watch at midday and start turning it completely, you're good to go before midday or midday before it stops turning. (Next day) There is something everyone needs to know about pocket watches that are mechanical. They can accidentally stop and get magnetized, so keep them away from magnets. This includes your cell phone like an iPhone has a MagSafe magnet right behind the back where you clip a metal wallet/wireless charger. Keep it away from something that has a magnetic pull. Those can magnetize the watches. Include simple magnets, like the stuff people use to pin pictures on the refrigerator, etc. so if you keep it in your pocket, make sure it doesn’t have a cell phone inside of it or anything magnetic, for the most part. It’s pretty simple to use. In case you’re not aware, you can demagnetize them by buying an item that specifically designed for de magnetizing pocket watches, you just wave it over the item. They can go anywhere from $10-$20 for more professional one. EDIT: 7/25/2025 The instructions aren't super clear, it says turn the knob 10 to 15 times, desertcart page says another but if you're counting off the top of your head, you'll never do a full turn. The easiest thing to do is when you start to actually turn the knob to get the pocket watch moving, keep spinning it until you feel resistance then basically stop. It'll be noticeable: You'll feel a slight tug, like I can't go forward, then let it go and you're good for the whole day. There's a soft stop feeling. It's not super aggressive but noticeable, keep turning slowly until you feel slowing down and a very tiny snug resistance of, I can't go forward. The reason I say this is because if you do 10-15 turns like the instruction says, it doesn't last a full day, and you'll have to reset the clock again. You can sort of figure it out that each turn is really only a half turn so its easy to keep going till the snug slowing down/resistance stop. EDIT: 9/26/2025 Like I said everything in the review stays the same if you go past the 11 to 15 turn to where you feel a tiny little bit of resistance telling you to stop, if you stop there and don't overturn: if you set the clock hypothetically 8:00 AM in the morning every single day, it'll give you some leniency for two to three hours in case you don't do it at exactly 8:00 AM which is perfect because sometimes you can't be 100% accurate plus you won't have to reset the clock again. Review: Low cost for a good watch! - Having never bought a pocket watch, I was worried that due to a lower price, I would be receiving a very cheap product. Nope. This thing works well, and looks fantastic! It's just what I wanted!

Niche item. Not a bad price for a mechanical watch.
Cute watch. Mostly for show as the charge on the spring is no more than a single day. The accuracy is very poor at about 6-10 minutes slow a day. I haven't tried to adjust the pendulum as I don't want to make it even worse. Case materials are cheap, maybe tin? The crystal is polycarbonate, so don't keep it in a very dirty pocket, or one with debris I side. A fair price for what you get, but if you want quality, look to spend much more than $20.
