I want to review this product sometimes I don’t have so much time or energy to do so, but I feel product needs a times not only bad reviews they need good ones too, specially if they do the job I got this machine about a year ago, still work as new this video is from this year; but many times you give review cause you are exited how worked, however later the product doesn’t work or was not like you wanted right? so for a year tried this machine I didn’t wanted to give my judgement in the beginning but now that still is working even we only use this seasonal, pretty much during summer, so I didn’t wanted just reviewed this and to try again, my starts are going to be base on price, quality and durability; For $80 dollars this machine is amazing and also has ice crusher, I used last years and this year and I have to be honest many of you like ice cream on winter right? Well I like of my snow cone or raspado on winter too, so I used as many time too during winter and I loved it, you definitely going to have a fast snow cone, many time we get like $30 dollar machine or less but it doesn’t works as good as this one, as matter of fact before this I got another one, not going to denied was open box however it was like new and that other machine got broke was not suitable for how much I like raspados and I returned the other one and ended getting this; this machine is not perfect for many reason cause people have speak about leaking, cause it seems like the ice has immediately reaction with machine, I haven’t try this with other water like the ice that we made, but I am planing to do it, I only did this with the ice that we buy, so could be the water that they use for the ice, but not sure about it until I try with bottle water, regardless that I will like this machine, also when you are making your ice cone you going to feel water in your hands so maybe to prevent is better to put a cloth or to clean a paper towel; so is true the ice melts so in order for you to use it, for your cone or family you have to have ready the ice that you are planning to use, however remember the container hast to be a glass glass that I use 18 fl oz full of ice and ready for my raspado and maybe put this machine under cloth for me for a few people is not necessary, after that I put a paper towel, at the beginning didn’t like that but again for $80 and now is cheaper is amazing machine and powerful; Don’t like container however this machine a maybe for a single basics or few people, because is powerful definitely you can use it in party, however maybe few people managing this because the container it is for more than one by one basis, but for me that I like big container for a raspado I usually use all for my my home made tamarind or hibiscus raspados and love them Party yes but one by one unless you want to have a cooler and made so much ice storage them in the cooler but you really need two people to help you to storage the ice and close it, I haven’t use in a party but I am sure you could, because is fast machine If you are like me with small family is amazing you managing this on your own and to enjoy summer or again if you are like craving for that on winter go for cause this machine is worthy !

I am not sure why there are so many mixed reviews on this machine. I have severe dry mouth from my meds and the only thing that helps is shaved ice, I would say I easily shave at least ten pounds of ice a day. I previously owned another brand of ice shaver but very similar to this one it lasted about two years. That being said this machines seems to shave ice like a professional machine it is quieter then my last machine and shaves the ice cubes better. A few tips that work well for me is to put ice cubes in the machine to start cooling it down this helps to insure you will have very fluffy shaved ice, I find once cooled I mine as well shave what I need for most of the day. I put mine is foam cups or pre chill a large bubba mug or any cup meant to keep your drink cold. Then I fill with the shaved ice and store in the freezer till I am ready to use it. This helps to have the coldest shaved ice and it doesn’t melt as fast. As my family would say I have it down to a science! For those who talk about the mess I put a towel under mine and have leRned how to turn the bowl while shaving to reduce the over spray. But keep in mind a professional machine could run $1000 dollars or more.

Omg this is the best money I have spent on Amazon this year! My kids were over the moon with their snow cones yesterday! And my husband was super happy that he did not have to stand for over an hour making them like he did with the last one we bought at a chain store. This baby works lightning fast and was very simple to use. We made sure not to get any syrup on it so we would just have to wipe it clean with a towel when we were done using it.

After buying two manual ice crushers that fell apart in a month, I decided to spend the money and get something with more durability, and a motor. I would not call this an "Ice Crusher" it definitely "shaves" the ice into a snow-like powder. You can open the device and adjust the shaving blade to make the ice more "chip-like". I'm not certain if this voids the warranty or not. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK: This requires removing the two small phillips screws that hold in the safety switch, and, underneath that, a phillips screw that holds the ice chute to the front of the device. On the underside of the chute, there is a allen screw (4mm) that you remove, and then the chute pulls off. Next, there are two allen head screws that secure the blade, loosen these screws and push the blade forward so it protrudes more. This will allow the machine to create larger chunks of ice. Tighten up the screws and re-assemble the machine (be sure you position the safety switch correctly so it will allow the machine to turn on when the handle is lowered). In addition to creating the more chip-like ice, this also had the effect of making a much larger mess as the ice is exiting from the machine, so be ready. I have only used it one time since performing this modification, but I'm happy with the results. However, I have yet to see if this creates problems with the motor, blade, or general safety of the equipment. Edit/Update: After about a year's worth of use, the machine is still working great, and I'm very happy with it. However, I did have a problem where I got "greedy" and tried to adjust the ice cutting blade further out than I did the first time. This worked OK a few times, and then the blade "slipped". It was not a catastrophic failure, but the blade moved outward (due to centrifugal force) and started to score the inside of the aluminum cover. Upon reflection the operation was slightly louder when this was happening. I ended up with a mouthful of aluminum shavings mixed with my ice, not good. I moved the blade back into the lightly extended position and also used some blue loctite on the retaining screws' threads. This was about 6 months ago, and I have not had a problem since. One note, I wipe down the machine with a cloth after each use, but there still has been a slight buildup of "muck" in the hinged area of the handle. I occasionally use a chopstick and the cleaning cloth to swab it out. Also, the unit will slowly leak water even with a wipe down, so keep a rag under it or store it in a place that is not effected by water. And finally, I used a Dremel to cut off the front end of the machine, added two clamps on opposite sides of the ejection port and have it dispense ice into a ziplock bag. This seems to work much better than the "tray" that comes with the unit.

This machine absolutely beats the manual ice shaver I used to use. It does work great for shaving ice, it is very fast and does a very good job doing so. I tried making a solid block of ice using a solo cup and confirmed that this procedure will yield you a very smooth and snow like ice shaving. Just a couple of comments. 1: I had to ask for a replacement unit after receiving my order as the first one I received had a crack in the plastic body. Great that I bought it from AMZ so getting a replacement was no problem. 2: The machine is quite tricky to control. Turning it on is no problem, turn on the red button and move the lever to push the ice against the shaver. To turn it off, backing off the lever will not stop the machine until the ice is exposed which makes a mess. I've learned to turn off the red switch while slightly backing off on the the lever (keeping the ice covered). 3: The quality of workmanship is a bit rough. This is obviously a cheap Chinese knock-off with the corresponding low price. There are sharp corners on the aluminum casting, etc. On my second unit received there was something loose inside which apparently was an electrical component (a capacitor I think) that was just stuffed inside the housing and was not restrained. Ended up fixing it so it doesn't make noise and doesn't get disconnected.

This machine works great just like it says! The only problem was I didn't receive the tool needed to change the blade. 🙂‍↕️ Disappointed

I looked around quite a bit for a decent shaved ice maker that wasn't going to cost big bucks, but also was a good product. This is the one. I used it for a Kindergarten Grad party where I made snow cones for the littles, and then some "boozy" snow cones for the adults. I bought the syrup and pour spouts separately, used a mixer for the adult ones before pouring over ice. The ice was the perfect consistency and what I loved most was the ease of use and cleanup. You really only need one large scoop of ice for the perfect snow cone.

My first purchase was for a different model and it didn't work at all and is being returned. This model had good reviews and I decided to take a chance on it. So glad I did! This works exactly as described. It is sturdy and efficient - making short work of ice cubes. Note- it shaves the ice, it doesn't crush. It's perfect for snow cones but still useable for drinks! Well worth the cost because this sturdy unit feels like it will last for years!

I liked it a lot and it works like stated. The only concern i have is with the cleaning but I suspect that ice is water. water is easily wiped clean. I was also concerned that there is no metal shavings entering into the ice. I don't think there would be. Other than that it is a great product and would order it again and would recommend it to others. Works great and does what it is suppose to do. Shipping was fast too. Not a cheap unit by no means. Maybe there could be more information added to the product so one wouldn't have these thoughts. GW

Makes shaved ice as fast as you can load it. Been using it for a few weeks already and its been a great experience. The build of the shaver is pretty hefty, you won't have to worry about it sliding around. It will firmly stay in place on a solid flat surface. It will take in almost any ice shape bearing that it fits. At most times, you can just rearrange the ice in order that it accepts it better. Note that it drips a lot of water and usually creates a pool of it around the ice shaver so be sure to have a towel at hand. It's also a bit of a hassle to make a lot of shaved ice in a bulk, the shaving ice plate is pretty small and fills up quickly. Overall I greatly recommend it especially for summers
