I was able to cut out the platic piece since it's sewed separately, and cut off the key ring fabric, which has made it even lighter and thinner. I'd love to see them make a version that's basically just a bag of the same size, but only one zipper on top and a divider in the middle. Having two zippers 1. adds some buik and 2. isn't that useful. Sometimes you open the wrong one, then have to zip it back, flip it over, and then unzip that. I have had this for a year. I have used it for multiple extended weeks of foreign travel, and it has been brilliant. I have used it to keep the basics for travel: driver's license, credit and ATM cards, as well as insurance cards, and cash for the place I am in. The small size and the various compartments, especially the outside pocket for rapid use, make this a must-have for my travels.
