Worked perfectly.
Had a fault code reading on my OBD-II and the gas gap was one of the solution. I replaced it all together and it cleared my code and the cap was perfect and fit snuggled. Not much else to say. It's just a reasonable price and good quality gas cap.

Fit my Jeep perfectly!
Bought a cap at a local department store(that said it was compatible)for my Jeep, but my gas cap light kept coming on, then went to a auto parts store, they tried to sell me the same thing. Finally ordered this one, fit just great & no more gas cap light on. thank you

a bad gas cap is an all too often issue with ...
My third fuel cap, can you believe it? First was stolen, then my friend's wife's Jeep wrecked and he gave me her gas cap when he went to go recover items from the Jeep. This time around I was trying to fix a small evap leak (P0456). For what that's worth it turned out to be the Moparยฎ 4861962AA Exaporative System Intergrity Module Detector. If you're here because of that issue then you're doing the right first step: a bad gas cap is an all too often issue with any car that can cause an evap leak on modern vehicles. From my research however that detector I mentioned is the second most likely culprit. The nice thing about that is that it's a $31 part and requires no tools to replace: I literally had my old one out and new one installed in less than five minutes including the time to crawl under the Jeep (do disconnect your battery for five minutes after any attempted fix first because your evap leak error code will not go away immediately). Well hopefully that helps somebody. Otherwise, yeah, woo, great gas cap.

Genuine MOPAR parts are the best
I've replaced the gas cap on my Jeep Wrangler twice with less expensive knockoff caps. Don't waste your money on those. They last about a year then go bad. The ratcheting mechanisms are weak and eventually fail to seal. This one came in a sealed Genuine MOPAR bag and you can really feel the difference when you click it into place. The cost is more, but worth it.

Replace Your Old Gas Cap!!!
I have a 2009 Wrangler Rubicon and I got an intermittent check engine light with the P0456 code which reads as evap small leak. When I closed the gas cap, it didn't give out the firm clicking anymore. I researched and found out the gas cap is a part of the evap diagnostic circuit. Since the Jeep is over 7 years old, the gas cap rubber gasket is probably old and wasn't sealing properly and the leak detection logic threw out the code. After installing the new gas cap, the check engine light went away after a short drive. Also, it is a good idea to replace the old gas cap if you get this code since it's the easiest item to replace and it is so inexpensive. Other parts in the evap circuit is not difficult but will take time to replace. Overall, I've learn to trust OEM parts instead of buying inferior parts that don't meet the OE specification, and the OEM don't cost that much more than the noname aftermarket parts.

Fits and works perfect
I got tired of buying gas caps for my wife's Jeep. This one stays in place and there's no way she's gonna forget to put it on.

Works great on wk grand cherokee
Installed on 2005 Grand Cherokee with Hemi and QDII. Works great and tether pops snugly into hole. No more leaving gas caps behind! No comment about vent, as I drove a week without gas cap and got no errors or lights...

02 Wrangler
It fit. Was advised to purchase due to the code always pulling up. Light went off then came back on. Jeeps..

The cap works fine but the leash is too short. If it was another 2 inches, it would be perfect. I had to add a short piece to the leash to make it work okay.
