Buying for son using on snare drum and also electric drum kit.** A: Classic is a standard weight, the forward for me was better hitting on cymbals being a little heaver, and the rebound for me was a lighter weight same size just better bounce on the snare. Do you guys have them in 12 pak or any pak.** A: They come to us in bricks of 6. **Q: What size would be best for marching?** A: I have always used 5A for drumset and as an all around stick size for concert snare work. Believe most people prefer a thicker size for marching, like a 5B but its been a long time since I played a marching snare. **Q: I’m a very heavy play are they strong will they break?** A: I haven't tried these yet, but I am a bit skeptical as I am also a heavy player and I have to use the shira kashi oak models to have sticks that last. I like to dig into my ride cymbals and it is hard on the tip of sticks because I like to use both the shoulder and tip on the bell. Rim shots are also required in a lot of material I perform so hickory gets ate up fairly quickly just behind the shoulder. I like how hickory feels and plays but a set was only lasting about 2 to 3 shows. The only 747 set I can find in shira kashi oak is the Neal Peart signature model so that is what I use. (When I started using this same model back in 1992 it was available in a non-signature 747 model.) I typically play 1 show a week and 2 practices a week, playing post punk and contemporary music and a pair lasts me at least 2 months. I have made one pair last as long as 6 months.
