American Made Premium Single Can Receiver Garbage Hauling Hitch - by Garbage Commander

This is a fantastic product and a real lifesaver . We have a long steep driveway and when the trash service announced that it wouldn’t drive down anymore to empty the cans we had do figure something else out quickly . I found a YouTube video showing this product and the link to Amazon , and I’m really glad I did . It’s working GREAT , I drive real slow , and my cans are heavy . I agree with other reviews that the pins seem a little flimsy and I wish they gave you 2 of them for added stability ....why not give us 2 for the price ? They can’t cost much right ? I’m not super technical but I did figure out how to assemble it , based on the instruction sheet that came with it (a bit confusing ....I had some of perplexity in how to screw it together the correct way , but also what was most helpful was the visual aid of actual photos posted by the customers , so I thought I’d share some of my own . I also bought the second attachment for a 2nd can . It’s working awesome . I am ridiculously pleased with myself each time I use it . I am probably going to buy another attachment for my third can . I’m getting faster at putting it together and taking it off when not in use . I like that it’s easily removed off my vehicle when it’s not trash day .

Great product but it’s even better exceptional customer service I received the wrong item and when I emailed the customer service even before calling me back, they had shipped the correct one to me. It arrived today and it is exactly as described and works exceptionally well it is so great to find an American company That has wonderful customer service and products. This is a solution for trashcan hauling the assembly fit, and value for the money exceeds all of my expectations

We have a 300 ft driveway and live in New England where we do get a lot of snow and ice. Unfortunately it gets to be a problem taking the trash up and down the driveway (especially since we are in our 70's) for pickup. Assembly was extremely easy and attaching the trash can to the hitch was fast and uncomplicated. Perfect height for our Honda CRV. Amazing solution for hauling trash up a long driveway. By the way, excellent price and quick delivery!

I'm 75 years old. Been toting my garbage can up and down my gravel driveway for years. Drive is about 75 yards long. This thing is great. Slides into my 2" receiver, garage can handles easily fall in place and are securely held in place with 2 sturdy pins. I love it!

I was looking for a solution to move my garage can to the end of the driveway after slipping on our icy hill. The Garbage commander fit that bill right. The item was very easy to assemble, is fairly sturdy, and effective. I used a hitch adapter with riser to get the item further in back and higher. I now move my cans in the winter time with the ATV and this set up works well. Pictures posted.

I bought this to use with my Yamaha Kodiak 450 ATV. The ATV has a standard 2" hitch receiver already mounted. I was a little apprehensive about how this would work with the ATV so I checked the fit of the parts of the Garbage Hauling Hitch BEFORE assembly for both the garbage cans and the ATV in case I needed to return it. The hitch is well built and fits the ATV perfectly. It's better quality than I expected. I have to haul my cans several hundred yards up a steep hill, so this will make the task much more bearable. I can also use it with my pickup truck or jeep if needed, but hey, why do that when you can use the ATV! Hope the pics help. The last pic shows how far the bracket extends past the rear of the ATV.

I really like the concept, and would go 5 stars. Two problems - it's more flimsy than it looks in photos. If you have a heavy can load, just setting it on the thing could easily bend it out of shape. Mine didn't bend because I noticed this and was extra careful when attaching the can (extra careful = slower, still a pain, which is what this is supposed to solve). The other problem is my cans are simply incompatible. There's a central support on the handle that prevents the handle from resting fully on the swing bar - can't get the pins in. Had to use a bungie cord wrapped around it a bunch of times to keep the can on the bar. Not going to return it... it works well enough to alleviate the safety issues I had moving cans down a steep driveway, but I do not consider my problem "solved" and will probably be looking into other options down the road.
