Is this vegetarian or vegan? It used to be vegan, then it was changed to vegetarian.

If this is truly elemental iron, you may as well ask if an iron bar is vegan or vegetarian! It should not make any difference from where the iron came. It might have come from iron ore in the ground. Iron is not a living substance, though living things contain it. It is by scientific definition not organic, since organic generally implies a chemical substance with Carbon in it (which all living things contain & also many non-living things).

Does it contain caffeine? It has green tea so I want to know how much caffeine is in it and is that what's giving me the energy from taking it?

There is no caffeine, or other stimulants. The green tea is decaffeinated. If you are experiencing "energy" from taking this supplement, the primary reason may be that you have low iron stores or borderline anemic or actually anemic... and the absorption and repletion and utilization of the trace mineral iron is doing what it is supposed to do, oxygenate your blood so it can oxygenate your cells throughout your body. The absorption co-factors which are the B Vitamins are also energizing on their own, as well as Vitamin C has an enervating effect. The groups most likely to have "iron poor" nutritional status are pre-teen boys and girls, teen girls, young women, and women in their late 20's to early 40's. Also, when people get older they can find it harder to absorb and assimilate iron from their diet and also be at risk of low iron stores. And, if you are a vegetarian or vegan you are also at risk of not getting enough iron from your diet.
