Please don’t say “you can use the wire directly” like you’ve done twice. That is not what the question** A: I measure the hole at the top as 5/32" or 3.9 ish mm. That should work with most banana plugs but I don't personally use them with my speakers. The hole is more than deep enough also as it run from the top to the bottom of bare wire hole. **Q: Will these posts accept a banana plug?** A: It’s a yes or no question. Why do you refuse to answer the question? People who use banana connectors do NOT want to wire directly. Just say “no” if that’s the answer. **Q: Will banana plugs fit in these?** A: These are standard cups. You can use wire directly, lugs, or banana plugs. You have to realize the seller is some Chinese guys who doesn't speak English. **Q: This discription and picture are trash... why is the diameter of the cut out needed not listed?
