The cradle doesn't charge the speaker

I found it very difficult to engage the cord into the charger. You REALLY don't want to bend the pins. It must go straight into the charger. Once I got it in I put it on a round hard coaster that was just the same size as the charger. I have mine on the floor and the coaster keeps it stable - a lot more stable than the carpet. Hope this helps. They work great once you get it hooked up.
