Sport Suds Washing Machine Cleaner, 5 Pouch

This detergent is an excellent detergent. Most importantly, the soap really does remove any nasty odors. I had some clothes that had a really bad lingering odor from my washing machine and no amount of washing with a regular detergent removed the smell. But one wash with Sport Suds got rid of the smell and left no odor behind. Sport Suds is also great at keeping your washing machine itself clean. I find that I don't have to clean my washing machine as often now that I am using Sport Suds. Additionally, I've ditched the fabric softener and use vinegar instead. The vinegar really helps to soften the clothes and there is no smell of vinegar at all on the clothes.

I bought this stuff in order to make my gym shirts wearable again, it was only partially successful there, but I like it enough that it is my new detergent for everything, not just athletic clothes. My gym shirts were getting pretty offensive: they'd smell clean after the laundry but as soon as I started to sweat again they smelt terrible. It was getting embarrassing. This detergent made an immediate improvement in that problem. Some shirts, the newer ones, where fixed right away. Some took a few washes. The older shirts, the worst offenders, were too far gone to be saved and had to be thrown out. But the odor build-up problem is gone. I am clean and fresh every time now. I actually use Sport Suds on all my laundry now because it gets the clothes really clean, and even though there is no fragrance, the clothes just smell fresher. When you open the washer door and take the laundry out the smell that hits you is clean, fresh water. I don't know why it smells extra watery, but it does and it is very pleasant. It also solved another problem. We have an HE machine and hard water, and the washer always smelled. I used HE detergent, I used the right amount, I kept the door open between washes, and I occasionally cleaned the washer with bleach, but it always smelled mildly like a sewer --- even after the bleach! Now the machine is odor-free. Like the clothes, it just smells like clean water. They sell a washing machine cleaner too. I used that once, but haven't needed it again. If there is any downside it's that because there are no fabric softeners or brighteners, the clothes come out in their "raw" state. Some things may feel a bit scratchier at first, but I don't notice it any more. If you can't tell already, I love this stuff. I don't know how regular detergent brands get away with not cleaning your clothes right. Once your clothes are actually clean, there is no going back.

Whoa, I really liked this product because it is unscented and did NOT leave my washing machine smelling like a Paris bordello like one of the national brand did. And I could visibly see that the rubber gasket was cleaner. I have only used one of the pods so far but I think if I was going to do this right I should have used 2, one right after the other for a spectacular clean. i just didn't have the time, but I am quite satisfied from just one use. My machine was smelling sour even though I leave the door open between washes and try not to leave wet clothes in there overnight. That odor went away with just one cleaning cycle. This is a very effective product. I think my washer is small, if I had a larger washer I'd use 2 pods each time.

This stuff works well. You run it on an empty machine with the sanitary cycle. Afterwards you can go in and wipe down the drum and any scale build up that hasn’t been removed should wipe off easily. My favourite thing about these is there’s no perfumes or “fresh scent” bs in this. I can’t stand products that cover up smells with other smells. I use this stuff when my washer is starting to smell, when I use this and it’s done, my washer smells like nothing and that’s a big win in my book. Average every 3-4 months so one of these packs will last me more than a year.

Good lord our washing machine gets stinky quickly! When you pull out a clean load, and it smells like a two-week old dead skunk, you know your hard water is doing the nasty on your washing machine again and it's time for a good cleaning! I had been purchasing pucks from a department store, and they were much more expensive than Sport Suds. I took a chance on these and I am very glad that I did. They work every bit as well. We have hard water with a very high content of calcium and magnesium, so rotten egg smell has kind of become a standard expectation in our home. There is no excuse for your clothes smelling like rotten eggs though! Sport Suds gets the stink out!
