My wall was a dark navy blue, so I did 2 coats of a good thick white primer before I applied this. If you've got any concern about color bleed through, be safe and use a primer. The quart was more than enough to do 2 coats, with enough left over to spot treat on areas where my roller didn't get great coverage, and I'm very happy with the result. Basically a 125" screen and the picture is fantastic, with no color bleed through from the wall. I finished with a "vibrancy enhancing felt tape border" which gave the screen a real professional look. Highly recommend the product. **Q: I was looking to apply this to a canvas, would i need to prime for this application?** A: You can paint directly on the canvas without a primer. Make sure you put 2 coats of the screen paint on. It is not a good idea to fold the canvas as it might crack the paint.
