Good for Day pack or Car E-kit
This is essentially a long plastic bag of reasonable quality. Seams are reinforced. I could easily scoot into the thing with ample room-length and width - at 5'10", 170lbs. Quality stuff sack, working emergency whistle with built in d-ring. I opted to use this product for my day pack / car e-kit with the assumption of addressing short-term emergencies (inside of 5 days). Based on the assumption of addressing a short-term emergency: LIKE: sturdy for intent, lightweight, small, repackable (I took it out for fit and to see if a fleece sleeping bag would fit in it & vice versa) DISLIKE: super-noisy (not ideal for BOB when you may need to be quiet even when your tossing & turning at night), a bit pricey even though I like the thing I feel like the components are pretty inexpensive to have a lower price point For my BOB, I chose a SOL Escape (more money) in combination with a cheapo flannel Coleman sleeping bag. The BOB means you're probably not coming back home and may need to be wherever for an extend period of time. While the Tact Bivvy is a thin polyester plastic to maintain lightness and packability, I am not convinced it would hold up to pulling it in and out of the bag for extended periods of 'wandering.' While I am pleased with the purchase, I think it could be a bit less expensive hence 4 stars.

Great Complement to my Emergency Prep
I purchased this product to round out my Get-Home bag, which doubles as an emergency kit for my Jeep. I was surprised how lightweight and compact this product is. After having read many reviews - both positive and negative - I decided to remove the bag from its pouch. While the material is very thin, I expected it to be more so, making it likely to be a one-time, disposable bag. Instead, if treated properly, should last for several uses - should anyone experience the misfortune of finding themselves in an emergency situation more than once... Being nearly 6’ and 230 lbs, I wanted to make sure the bag could accommodate me so I opened it up, stepped into it and pulled it up over my head. Very quickly, I noticed it’s heat-retaining qualities. It seems entirely capable of performing as advertised, tho laying on my living room floor is far different from huddling under a makeshift shelter on a temperature-plummeting night; I hope I’ll never need to put this product to the test. Keep in mind this product is wind and waterproof, meaning it is a moisture barrier inside AND out. As the directions state, condensation will occur inside the bag if you don’t allow for occasional ventilation. It’s like being in a giant trash bag. Use common sense and one can stay warm and dry for the extent of its need. Many complained in their reviews of not being able to refold and roll the bag tightly enough to get it back to its original size and into the pouch. While it did take about ten minutes to be sure all the air was removed from it as it was folded, I assure you it is entirely possible to get it back into its pouch exactly as it was received. In my opinion, this was money well-spent and recommend it for any emergency need.

Better quality than expected and a must for an unexpected survival condition cold weather. Light weight which makes it ideal for a bug out bag.

Looks good!
I bought this for my younger brother as a gift. He is very into outdoors and anything survival. When it arrived it looked good. I didn't take it out though. I held it and it was light weight. Seemed like a good size that would fit well into a backpack. Nothing was broken, the whistle looked fine and the bag wasn't ripped. A few days after I had given it to my brother I called and asked if it had been used and if it fit back into the bag, guess Mom told him not to take it out because she didn't trust he could get it back in lol I will say it did look like it barely fit in the bag, there wasn't any part of the bag that looked loose. I did like how it looked and was going to get another one for myself. If I do I will update this review and say wether or not it fits back in the bag, until then it gets 4 stars.

Its waterproof and very warm
I bought this to put in my bag in case I ever needed it and at The Gathering Of The Juggalos, I very much needed it. It was storming for the week I was there, even though our tent was water resistant, condensation would drip in and a couple tears formed so our tent had some decent puddles. I opened this bivvy up on top of a puddle in the tent, and it completely kept out all the water. Very very warm too, not the most ideal for an Ohio summer night but it’ll keep you toasty. Upon waking up, the inside was totally coated with my sweat, so I decided to just use it as a “dry” bag to keep my stuff in for protection from the rain. I put in 2 heavily-stuffed backpacks and a garbage bag of clothes into the bivvy, I was immediately impressed, the material is strong, didnt show any signs of ripping or tearing while I picked it up and allowed the weight of my backpacks to hang in it. TLDR: 1. I slept in a rain puddle and stayed dry, although the inside got coated in sweat. 2, very thermal insulating, kept me very warm, hence the sweat. 3, strong material that wont rip under normal circumstances. Although I was not in a “survival” situation, this bivvy came in handy in a rainy tent at a music festival when we had no car to stay dry in. I would buy again, its very compact and light, you can keep multiple in a bag and it will serve its purposes

A lot nicer than expected..
I'm not like the people leaving a review, when I haven't even opened or tested it.. I was hesitant about this one at first, after reading some other reviews saying it was "cheap".. But I've been looking for something like this for a long time-- I've never liked sleeping bags when I'm a minimalist camper, and see no need for a giant "blanket" taking up so much space in my bag.. I'm used to sleeping on the ground so it doesn't leave me that sore.. (And I chose green because I just like it blending in more with surroundings. I don't want to be noticed when camping..) I've tried several other brands of an emergency blanket costing even more, and they were even cheaper material like the $1 mylar blankets I can buy at the local store; while online, other brands charged $20 for that same mylar blanket.. But this one actually does feel like more durable material-- I can't tell what it is, but it almost feels like a "souped up" trash bag (in a good way).. I like the black lining along the sides so I can tell where the edges are, and I am short (5'2"), so I was easily able to sit criss-cross in this bag and even use the top as a hood... It's true I don't see it lasting forever necessarily, it's bound to rip sooner or later since it's still thinner material, but it's still a lot better than I expected for the price and I can see it lasting for the forseeable future. (Not like the $1 mylar blanket at the store, that ripped just opening it up..) Keep in mind, there is a difference between an emergency blanket, and a sleeping bag. This offers no padding or anything of the sorts-- just the very basics to keep you warm, which this is sufficient for. Especially for its size, I LOVE that it can fit in the palm of my hand; and unfolded it's about the size of a twin bed, but longer.. As far as folding it back up, I know lots complain about that, but there's something about this material that actually made getting the air out easier than I expected.. Keep in mind, main thing to remember when folding this back up, is to fold longways first. You want the only opening of the bag to be on the far side, so that when you fold/roll this one up, all the air can naturally escape from there as you fold the rest of the bag towards the opening.. (And unlike a sleeping back, this was wayyy easier to roll up..! Took a little bit of "squishing" to fit back inside the holder, but it wasn't that hard. Tinier means easier to roll up, too...) Whistle works as well; and I don't regret my purchase... I LOVE having an emergency blanket I can fold back up and use again, when all the cheap ones have to be thrown away after one use; and this is so tiny that I'll be carrying it everywhere in my regular bag, and trust it enough to do its job... If they could possibly use whatever the black tape is to cover the rest of the bag, I do feel that would help with more durability so this could last forever... 😁

Its an emergency heat blanket
It is a large emergency reflective blanket, attached together into a sleeping bag shape. No surprises there, but it will tear under stress, and good luck ever getting it back into the bag..
