The enamel coating is thin is some areas and blotchy in others and the black paint for the "butter" letters has over sprayed onto the white areas around it, making it look cheap and tacky. There are dents in the bottom pf the dish and on the edge. It actually looks like the initial enamel coating didn't work in some areas, so someone has tried to patch it. One of the sides is covered in ugly tiny spots.The size is great and I love being able to fit so much butter in the dish. It's a shame the quality is so bad.The butter knife is not very practical. The handle doesn't feel very nice in your hand.
