AmazonBasics USB 3.1 Type-C to VGA Adapter - Black, 5-Pack

Just setup my new 27" 2017 iMac and realized I needed this adapter to utilize a second monitor. I was using a lightning adapter to do the same with my MacBook Air but that adapter would not work with the new iMac USB C outputs. This works perfectly even though I saw most reviews that were using it on the MacBook Pro line. I like having a second monitor display and am still finding different ways to utilize it for the many different applications that I use such as Photoshop, Lightroom and iMovie, etc.

I received the adapter today. It works instantly on my Dell XPS13. It connects XPS13 nicely to my external monitor. I will travel with it for my business presentations from now on. Due to its size, it does not have two screw holes on sides of the VGA connector. However, the connection is snug enough for normal business use. I like it better than the larger and cumbersome (1 to 4) adapter from Dell.

The overall product is well made and does exactly what it claims to do. My only issue, to nitpick, is the lack of screw holes on the sides for the VGA section to screw into and secure. However that being said, it has not fallen out so far!

I use this Type-C to VGA adapter to connect a 2017 21" iMac to a Mitsubishi HD TV. This is useful because the color palette on the 4K iMac is different than the TV which makes a difference in video production. This allows me to view videos I produce on a TV screen as well as a computer screen. The only shortcoming is the lack of screw holes to secure the VGA adapter. I overcame that deficiency with rubber bands (see photo). I'm not sure that the rubber bands are necessary because the connection is very tight and not likely to disconnect.

Working from home I needed this to connect my laptop to a bigger monitor for ease of working and this did the trick, worked for my Lenovo laptop and acer screen with ease

I used this with a Galaxy Note 8 to demonstrate an app on a projector at a meeting. This adapter worked perfectly. Galaxy owners may want to take note that you have to change your HDMI setting from Samsung DEX to HDMI mirror mode on the phone, if you want to use it the way I did.

Had to give a presentation and used my 2016 MacBook Pro and it worked flawlessly. Had to use this adapter due to an old TV that I was hooked up to, but I plan to buy the newer HDMI version. Great adapter and would buy again if I needed another one.

I use this to connect my note 9 to my classroom projector. It works great and having a headphone jack ;) let's me use whatever crappy speaker is available in whatever classroom I'm in.

Llevo un tiempo usándolo sin problemas para trabajar. Lo pude usar en mi pc simultáneamente a la salida de video de HDMI sin retrasos en la imagen o problemas. No la he usado para gaming. Es para usarlo en la PC, no funciona para smartphone ni Nintendo Swich

Unlike other USB to VGA adapters being sold for less, this one actually works properly and the picture is very good. Also it will load on Windows 10 without installing special drivers from a disk.

Un buen adaptador usb-c a vga, que funciona perfectamente en mi Lenovo L390 para conseguir conectar el portátil al proyector (que solo tiene entrada VGA). Es conectar y funcionar, como debe ser, sin ninguna complicación. Había probado otros adaptadores, pero ninguno se acerca a la calidad de imagen que proporciona este. La imagen es nítida y clara, y los colores son fidelignos. Y también que no se calienta nada tras horas y horas de uso (cosa que no pasa en otros adaptadores de dudoso origen). Lo único que no me ha gustado es que no lleva para que puedas atornillar el cable VGA al adaptador y que no se caiga. Por lo demás es perfecto. 100% recomendable.

J'ai déjà fait plusieurs présentations avec un macbook pro 13 2017 grâce à cet adaptateur, qui ne m'a jamais fait défaut.
