## Description

A contemporary translation of the Bible incorporates contemporary insights on the peoples, lands, and beliefs of the ancient world into a complete revision of the original text.

Review: Excellent for study - There is no other bible with the info this one has. The only thing is the size of the typing, one has to use a magnifying glass to read it. But is just a minor problem compared to what is inside.
Review: Simple and straightforward review - I've read many versions of "The Bible". King James Version, New King James Version, the Spanish Reina Valeria version.... I've even read some books of Martin Luther's German translation of the bible. Of all the stuff I've read, this one is probably the best modern English translation with critical notes that I have found around. Unless you decide to learn Biblical Hebrew, Biblical Greek, Aramaic, and a bit of Latin for the ECCE HOMO part, you're probably gonna get the best English translation that is available out there with this book. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in reading a "Bible" translation in modern English.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Study ed New Jersulem Bible
*by E***H on May 13, 2014*

I am very happy with the study notes. However I meant to replace a copy of my Jersusalem Bible. I think having both will be a wonderful addition and I will look forward to comparative study.
