After 30+ years Infantry active service (now retired), caring for my feet became an essential routine: Best socks (with a dry pair in backup), best boots, always have a can of foot powder in a gear pouch, moleskin, keep my toenails clipped . . . there are few body parts an Infantryman has to depend on more than his feet. Well into my 70s now, and I still inspect my feet daily. A challenge I had not anticipated was the degradation of my flexibility (I routinely curse gravity . . . yeah, I know it keeps us on the planet, but couldn't we get some kinda senior credit, like 25% less) which makes it difficult to contort myself to clip my nails, 2 of which have become prone to becoming ingrown. So, I started researching a new foot care technique . . . and found this stuff. If you have rock hard nails or tend to ingrown nails, BUY THIS. This morning I slathered it on my biggest toenail challenge (left big toe), left it for 1.5 hours (probably didn't need to wait that long) and the nail flexed like a piece of paper. Five seconds with a pro-grade pair of nail clippers (lots of good ones, I picked the Wanmat Toe Kit via Amazon) and it was good to go. I have tried several other products, but this one simply does the job better. I sometime use a foot bath (again, lots of good ones, I picked the Homedic Foot Spa) to soften the skin, but the softener works well by itself.

It works , you need to use it a few times a day a few days. My friends mom has thick nails that goes up not out so they were very hard. We put it on 3x a day for 7 days then I came and trimmed her nails . It was amazing.

Actually seems to make a difference. I'm "older," and between my big toe nails getting thick and dry (making them tough to cut), having a bad back doesn't help. Got this, applied for a few nights to let it work its magic, then after taking a shower got to cutting my nails, and... The big ones seemed easier to get through. Might need to start a few days earlier with the applications, but seemed to do the job. Even thinking of starting to put it on my fingernails, since they're getting dry and brittle.

Helps avoid ingrown toenails

It put a thick application on my toe nails. According to the instructions, the next morning it should be easy to cut. This didn't happen for me. The instructions also said, if it didn't work, to soak your feet for an hour in warm water. Soaking your feet like that would do the trick without applying the cream. Waste of $'s for me. You might get different results.

I was thinking I had found something that would be helpful with cutting my toenails. I was disappointed when I read the warning on the package regarding Cancer and reproductive harm. Now I will not be using the product.

It works!

I used it as the directions suggested, and put a bandaid over the toenail after applying the product. Then I left the bandaid on overnight. It worked beautifully and I was able to reduce excess toenail thickness. Used a anti fungal application hours earlier too.
