It keeps my Mop out of my eyes, off the floor when under the car and sawdust and other dust out of my hair. Tie it tightly from the get-go, it will loosen but takes a day. Haven't washed mine yet-maybe I won't. Maybe I'll throw-away and buy new. They're nicely priced, soft, comfortable, fashionable and not necessarily disposable.
