Hasbro Gaming Taboo Game

I bought this edition for my 22 year old niece for Christmas so she could have her own set to play with friends. Additionally, when we have a family game night, Taboo is often the first choice. It's fun, intense, fast paced and always leads to a fight. Ok, not really a full-out "fight," but everyone getting riled up is part of the fun. We've played this with out of state family and immediate family, kids and grown-ups and it's always a favorite. My partner has an older version, maybe 15 years old, that tends to be a little more obscure at times, but that's part of the entertainment, the older "current" references are even more challenging to play. We've played with kids younger than 13 and they are fierce competitors. Teams can always "pass" a play if the card is too difficult (and lose a point). For our game nights we often try to sort the teams into those most familiar with each other, when we play Taboo, then clues can be a shared experience or memory, as long as no one tries to give a clue with a word that's taboo. It's pretty easy and straightforward, and doesn't take a lot of table space to play.

I have been wanting to get this game for a while now and I am pleased that I did. I remember how much fun the older version of Taboo was and the new version is just as fun, the only difference is the card holder is no longer included, oh well, not a deal breaker though.

Great family game

This is a great game for all ages. Kids and adults of all ages loved playing it at the Christmas party. The buzzer really sucks though and we NEEDED a buzzer, the timer was cheaply made, too, but the game itself is great. We made it work.

and they don't give you a cardholder in this box. Not a deal breaker for us. This is a great game for family gatherings. In case you don't know how it works. A person tries to get their partner(s) to guess the word at the top of the card. For example. the word might be cat. below that word is words the person can't say, like purr, claws, etc. You have a timer to get as many words as possible before it runs out.

A really solid version of the classic game. I always loved playing it when I was little, and it was a thrill to get my hands on it again for a family night a while back. Overall, a great game, well-packaged and updated. A whole lot of fun for all types of people—even played it with English Language Learners, and they had a blast. Really can’t think of a person I wouldn’t recommend this game to.

This was actually a game I played a lot growing up. I purchased it because we had a family vacation trip to Missouri! Game night was a blast!! It brought back alot of memories.....Taboo has been around a while and my uncle used to come home from college and we play all the time. Total nostalgia for me!! It's exactly how i remembered.

Used to play this game all the time growing up and it seems like gameboard sections in stores are missing out. Very glad I was able to get it here. It is a staple of most game nights, great for family or friends.

This game provided hours of entertainment for the family over Christmas and we all enjoyed it a lot more than Articulate. The buzzer is completely worth it too so I'd highly recommend getting this edition of the game!

Item arrived in time and it was in perfect condition. A great way to spend the weekend with friends or family.
