Great auto diagnostic tool, easy to use, multiple function, and at a great price. Most people will get this for the basic DIY check on their car. Make sure to read through the instructions more than once, to make it easier to use the first time. Handy bag to store and carry it. If you are more into automotive technology and engines, like me, this fits the bill too. Extra functions to use beyond the basic OBD2 code checks. Overall, just what I wanted.

I bought this because my Check Engine light came on, and I didn’t want to go to the shop without having at least an idea of what the issue could be. I was honestly surprised by how easy it is to use. I just plugged it in, turned on the car, and within seconds the code popped up on the screen. What I liked the most is that you don’t need to be a mechanic to understand it. The screen is clear, the buttons work well, and it gives you a simple description of the code, not just the number. In my case, it helped me identify a problem with the catalyst sensor, so I avoided being overcharged at the shop. I also like that it works with most cars (mine is a 2012 and it recognized it with no issue) and you don’t need any external app or Bluetooth connection — everything is direct and quick. It feels sturdy, lightweight, and comes ready to use. Honestly, for the price, it’s totally worth it. It’s one of those tools that gets you out of trouble and gives you peace of mind. I recommend it.

This thing works great, I used ai to explain everything, there is lots of info this thing gives you, and the fact you can reset your engine light makes me very happy, great value for the money, code clarity is good, it tells you the code and the severity of what's wrong, and it's super fast!!! Nice features for a low price. I ordered this Code Reader and wasn't expecting the quality product I received. I have used it twice since I received it and it has easy to understand menus and also shows you the codes plus what they represent. I have used code readers and had to look up the codes on Google.

This Onboard Diagnostic (OBD) scanner was the next step up from their cheaper version, but performed as if it might be more sophisticated. It was not. Although there were no explanatory instructions for every function, it was quite simple to figure out after using it a couple times. I am a beginner to these types of electronics, but I had to find out why my 12 year old car had a code and figure out the problem before my mechanic tackled the job. Every system was addressed that needed to be and I checked everything for peace of mind. Every system and sub-system passed except the initial error code and my mechanic confirmed it as well. That saved time and money. He corrected the problem, and cleared the code, all because of this scanner. Even though it isn't a high dollar professional one like he had, it diagnosed the problem, same as his did and got me enormous relief since there were no outrageous charges to be dealt with. I highly recommend this OBDII and checking your system every so often is good preventative maintenance

Simple enough to use, very helpful to read codes, fix the problem, and then clear the codes. Saved me hundreds of dollars in repair work for a bad sensor I was able to change out myself. Value.

UPDATE! The seller contacted me and offered a refund for the scanner. I asked for a shipping label so I could return it and they said it was not necessary then they immediately issued the refund. These people are AMAZING! I would definitely buy from them again. AMAZON, on the other hand, is not so honorable. . . They denied the refund. Now they didn't bother to tell me that it was denied. I contacted them several times and they kept telling me it was on the way. Then the last guy finally said the refund had been cancelled because the item was not returned. I feel like that should be the sellers decision to make. I just hope that the seller got their money back since it didn't come to me. (Original) I bought this scanner because I had lost the cheaper one that I already had. I did a lot of research before buying and this was supposed to be the best in the mid-price range. It had all the features that I need and I was very excited to try it out. We tried it on a few different cars when we got it and it never pulled up any codes. I didn't have anything to compare it with so I didn't know if the cars were fine or if the scanner was bad. We hung on to it. . . I recently found the other scanner that I had lost. The engine light came on in a truck we just bought so we tested both scanners. My old $17 scanner brought up the codes and this one did not. It doesn't work. It's possible that I just got a defective one but my return window closed a few days ago and I'm certainly not buying another one so I guess I'll never know.

Unlike other OBD2 scanners I have used in the past, the ANCEL AD410 doesn't require a program for a specific vehicle, doesn't need a subscription or any payment to unlock features. It connected to my vehicle, read error codes, cleared codes and gives me many options for faultfinding. Reads the VIN code, also unlike some other types that won't recognise Australian VIN numbers. Well worth the very modest cost.

works perfectly as described. use it for cylinder misfire information and it works well. The cord is long enough to keep plugged in while driving to get live data and the unit is nice and compact. The screen display also very bright and clear. Very happy with the pricepoint for the quality of this unit.
