I have been remodeling 4 rooms in my home; seems like forever. I am using Modern Masters Pearl White Metallic paint to tone down the silver metallic paint and then adding Iridescent Medium and various colored glitter, depending on the room. This is the only paint that truly works, and I have tried them all. I do wish it was less expensive. I've purchased at least 4 cans now and that's a lot of money for 4 rooms, not to mention the rest of the paints, glitters and mediums that I use. But the look is well worth it. I embossed ferns on my family room wall using joint compound and stencils, and the paint sets them off as they are but I'm adding a few light colors to the ferns to really make them stand out. Awesome Paint!

Used this for painting a backside of a wall in 2 niches and took some other Modern Masters metallic colors mixed with glaze to give it visual interest and not fall flat. I wanted to tile it but it would have cost at least $700 plus the pain of cutting it and grouting etc so this worked out much better and my spouse loves it. This particular color Pearl White metallic is somewhat sheer. I coated the wall twice. It was a tan color before.

Modern Masters paint is incredibly hard to work with and is impossible to apply evenly, especially in corners. I hired a professional painter and he applied a white primer coat and then two coats of Modern Masters pearl white as well as the semi-gloss clear coat protective layer and the paint looks like trash. (This is what the Modem Masters YouTube video recommends). The color and consistency of the paint is not uniform at all when it finally dries on the wall. I would never recommend anyone use their paint.

3.5 stars. A translucent white suitable for a topcoat over white primers or colors to create special effects. The paint applies evenly and easily, very user friendly and over primed or previously painted wood a gallon can go a long way. My only problem is that being called Pearl White it appears to lean toward the ever so slightly amber side of white. I would have expected more of a grayish or opalescent hue. Mind you this is only slight and influenced by the colors of your undercoating and overall background.
