I think you want to know if it will streak... if it might run? It is a very thin paint. The applicator has a mist or stream setting. That alone lets you know it is a pretty thin paint/dye. I have used it on grass, boxwoods, and evergreens. It has a bit of a striping possibility any time you apply it on something that is verticle.
