Suitable for an Audiophile with control issues :D
I gave it a little bit of time in order to pick up all the subtle changes and I can really appreciate the fact that Sennheiser has worked out all the kinks and made these the best version of Momentum Wireless earbuds. They have thoroughly perfected the previous version’s shortcomings. Who needs these? - An Audiophile who hates the “flat” and “real”sounding Audio Technicas and wants her/his music to be Trashy at times with rumbling bass on demand. (Hint: App that controls sound preferences) - An Apple user, who has elevated taste and will never be caught dead using a pair of AirPods Pro because that’s just a basic poser’s earphone who is trying to prove that they are way too busy for world problems and making “money moves.” -An Android user, who wants to prove to the world that they have good taste in gadgets and if Apple products were as good as they are advertised: they’d buy it. It’s simple logic, good things should not necessarily be expensive. A clearly evident exception though are these earbuds: Momentums are worth the price tag. - Someone who is not stuck to one Genre of music and have no qualms using an app for customising preferences according to different genres of music. Why this price tag? As your well wisher, let me tell you that if you are a little short on money, there are cheaper truly wireless earbuds alternatives to these. Boats, Skullcandy, Jabra offer really good alternatives. Hell.. I just bought Amazon basics earbuds for ₹999 and they are really good too. You can check them out. So… why are people buying these? Well, technology has come such a long way that little new developments by big companies like touch sensitivity, app support, better bluetooth connectivity are considered substantial improvements. This happens because once a new technology comes to the market substantial improvements to it are as challenging as reinventing the wheel. How can you perfect an already established piece of tech, it can be quite challenging tackling that question at times given that most of these gadgets are a perfected versions of their predecessors( id est. wired earphones- Bluetooth earphones-truly wireless earbuds). I digress. Momentum TW 1 was really good. It had all the best features but it was chunky and there was an automatic battery drainage issue. There were connectivity problems too. The app was good but it was not seamless. MTW 2 had similar problems but they were better. MTW3 have been redesigned. The earbuds are not as chunky as its previous counterparts. But a friend with small ears had mild discomfort after putting them on for about 15 mins. Bose earphones, Sony wf 1000xms, and Momentums have similar size problems. (Wink* bigger is not always better *Wink) The app is really good. I love it! It still lags a bit but the fact that it shows the battery info of the case and the earbuds, has presets and music customisation, earbuds software update availability, noise cancellation, and transparency features: it adds greatly to the user experience. Touch sensitivity is great on these, they have no battery drainage issues, and a better 7 hours battery than the standard 5-6 hours. The connectivity is strong at a distance of 100 metres but it starts disconnecting I f there are walls in between. I love the fabric design of the case that has been consistent with the previous versions. It feels premium. They deserve the tag of flagship earbuds and stand strong next to Bose, Beats, Audio Technica, Apple, Marshall, Bowers And Wilkins, Bang And Olufsen, and V-Moda. It’s a steal at 15k price mark (I gave it 5 stars for that reason) and I strongly recommend it. P.S. all of the brands I have mentioned have pretty good earbuds. Check and compare them as well. They offer fun alternatives.

Manufacturing Defect(s) - Left earbud fail
I got this earbud last year a was quite happy with its performance for about a year. Then suddenly the left ear bud stopped responding. I tried charging multiple times, cleaned them as well. But only the right ear bud could pair. The left one was completely dead. Luckily it has 2 year warranty, so I contacted Sennheiser but there is no service centre in my city. I had to courier the product on my own fund. After a week I got the replacement for it. I was quite excited and the new one was working fine. Again similar issue happened after about a month on the replaced item. I got frustrated and raised the complaint and got the 2nd replacement. Till now (using it for a week) now it works fine, but I am really doubtful whether it will survive. I hope that even if it fails it should be within the 2 year warranty period so that I can replace it again. Apart from this issue it’s a brilliant earbud covering all aspects like sound quality, call quality, comfort… but there seems to be major defect in this model. I would suggest to skip this and look for alternatives or wait for the next generation model. In case if you are ready to take this risk, please note down the customer care details including its service centre office at Delhi. Good luck :)

Lives up to the brand name
Updated review after a few months of usage: - I'm using these with an iPhone (12) and I haven't faced any hiccups in connectivity or usability whatsoever. They work great together. - I have also been using them with a MacBook and except for one very specific scenario (see cons below) they work great on that too. Honestly, If I could, I would probably have gone for airpods pro 2 for the ecosystem benefits and call quality alone but I belong to that small portion of the population for which the airpods won't fit properly. My only option was to browse through in-ear type TWS buds that would actually fit me. I tried out Sony WF-1000XM4 from a friend and although the sound quality was great to my taste (better than airpods), I thought they were a bit chunky for my ears (quite pocketable with the case though). After extensive research, I finally settled for these due to the following factors: 1. The in-ear stem is slightly longer than other buds in the market which gives me a good fit and nice passive noise cancellation. The wing tips provided ensure that the buds sit in place in my ears. They are also less chunky than the Sony WF-1000XM4. They don't seem to fall off for me during day-to-day use and normal workout. 2. Sound quality is good for my music taste. These are pretty loud and suffice my listening needs at about 50% volume. I like the punchy base and the app provides a basic equaliser to adjust the lows, mids, and highs to one’s liking. 3. Call quality is decent too, especially in low noise surroundings (more on this below). I have been using these for work related calls and they have served me well. 4. The battery life is better than most TWS buds in this range available in the market right now and the charging speed is quite fast for the buds as well as the case. 5. Multipoint connectivity is a lifesaver at work. It can simultaneously connect to 2 devices and I have it connected to my work computer and phone at all times. 6. The touch interactions are completely customisable which is rare to find in most S-tier TWS buds in the market right now. 7. Transparency mode is pretty good if not excellent with a tiny bit of a electronic hissing which becomes noticeable only at highest level. 8. Noise cancellation is actually quite good (contrary to my first impression). Tried it out in crowded cafés and aircrafts and found it pretty impressive. My gripes: 1. The case is chunkier than airpods and Sony and not exactly subtle when placed in the pocket. I have found it especially uncomfortable when carrying around in jeans. I hope Sennheiser works on perfecting the design further in upcoming models. 2. Voice activation for Siri isn't there for iPhone users. Though triple tap on the right bud does activate Siri on default settings. 3. Not the best sound signature out of the box for listening to audiobooks and podcasts. I would suggest turning on podcast mode in the app and amp up the mids a little to get the best listening experience. 4. Call quality isn’t that great in noisy environments. I experimented with the active noise cancellation turned on and off and it seems like although the noise cancellation works really well for you, it doesn’t make much difference for the person on the other end of the call. Most of the high pitch noise will bleed through along with your voice. 5. I use it a lot for google meet calls on my macbook and have noticed that the microphone randomly turns off. I have found this issue ONLY with google meet on mac OS and the same was confirmed by another user on reddit Sennheiser community. Never faced this issue on Zoom calls or while taking calls on the phone. Conclusion: I figured there's really no "best" bud in the market right now. It's a relatively new technology with all the companies pouring in money to perfect their version of the TWS buds (also the reason why they are so expensive). It's really a matter of what features work best for you and which ones you would trade-off for others. My advice is to do a bit of research (since you're spending a lot of money) and shortlist some that you think would suit your needs. Then go out and try them all to decide which one to buy. Tips for Sennheiser Momentum TWS 3: 1. Try swapping different wing tips and ear tips to make sure you have the most comfortable and snug fit. You need to put the buds in and twist them back a bit to lock the wing tips in place for the best fit. 2. Try the adaptive sound check feature in the companion mobile app to see what equaliser setting work best for your listening. Some people might not like the low-mids sound signature out of the box so adjusting the equaliser would help. 3. Try adjusting the touch interactions to suit your usability. 4. Adjust the transparency mode sensitivity to the level that is most comfortable for you to get the most out of it. Attached some pictures to give an idea of the size and fit overall.

A Great product for daily use
Pros : 1. Audio is Great with good base. We normally are not audiophiles, but we can sense whether the music is sounding great. Instruments can be heard separately and clearly. 2. Battery Life is really awesome. After a single charge, it lasted for many days. 3. I purchased the grey one and the dual tone of the buds looks great. 4. They have a rubberised fin that gives a firm grip. I also have AirPods Pro, which after sometime oozes out of the ear and you need to push it back. Momentum stays in throughout. 5. Touch controls are extremely good and never did I have any issues in controlling music or receiving calls. 6. Mic for phone calls is good and the other person never complains. 7. Each Bud can function independently. You can use either one without any issue. Cons : 1. It connects with only one device. To switch to another one, you have to first either disconnect with the first one, or use the App on phone to switch devices. 2. Case, although classy in looks, is bulky to carry in a pocket. 3. Active Noise Cancellation is almost 50% and not as good as AirPods Pro. But good enough to fade out the nearby sounds to give you a more immersive experience. My final recommendation: All in all a great product to buy.

Simply awesome... Go for it
Here are my observations compared to Jabra 75 T that I have used 1) each bud can be used separately... There is noaster slave BT tech, so even if you lose one bud or one bud gets spoilt you can continue to use one bud... With Jabra this is a big disadvantage 2) even with single bud you get very good base and clarity... 3) the buds feel so comfortable and don't feel they are entering into the ear canal, making it easy to use for long hours 4) the wing tips and overall design makes the buds more secure in the ear, with Jabra I was always afraid when I will lose or the earbuds will fall off my ears 5) with firmware update we now have multi device connect 6) the case even if slightly bigger than Jabra, it still is small 7) the fit is exceptional thanks to multi ear tips and wings provided 8) the app itself is so feature rich... You also have location based profile settings.. So when I am at work, I can have transparency automatically come on and when at home I can turn off transparency... Without having to do anyhting... Likewise equalizer settings can be automatically set 9) the weight of earbuds is so so negligible that you can hardly feel them 10) the ability to switch on wind mode is awesome... Specially when outdoors 11) I am an audiophile and sound stage is extremely important.... These earbuds present an excellent sound stage with very good reproduction of sound...

I would suggest to avoid these earbuds
I got tws 3 for their sound quality and make no mistake these are the best sounding earbuds that i have use(i have used sony wf 1000 xm3 and xm4 ,samsung buds 2 and bose nc700 previously). Its all downhill from here. The noise cancellation is average at best. The left earbud stopped working after 6 months and after sending it to service centre at my expense via courier. They didn’t follow up at all and i had to ask them constantly regarding regarding the warranty claim.I got a replacement after 3 weeks snd the replacement earbuds have their own set of Issues (The earbuds connect to the device even while they’re in the case ,the app doesn’t work with the earbuds and i need to pair devices constantly even though i have paired them previously ).I guess I’ll never be buying sennheiser products in india based on this experience.Sorry for the rant hope it provides some insight

Subtle design yet lucrative features
Sennheiser using turned addiction when I was happened to use cx300ii. Since 2010 I have used CX 180, CX 300 ii , CX 275, & cx 300S. Through all models SENNHEISER sound quality has been unique and even the basic model has natural sound which makes it tireless listening music. I remember long driving in my bike (drenching in heavy rains, dust, mist, fog without helmet..atleast 50 times ) for straight 8 hrs listening 300 ii. Connected With Nokia Mobile.. such a pleasant experience. Though it doesn't have mic at times my voice can be heard while attending call . However after replacing cx 275 With recent CX 300s ..the wire is so thick and uncomfortable for bike driving. Hence I decided to go with the recent latest technology and a real committed purchase with SENNHEISER top model. Yeah its now the Sennheiser momentum 3 true wireless..graphite.. Positive comments. . . Sound quality - its SENNHEISER 's quality.. punching bass not too much.. details are crystal clear acoustic, bass, mids etc.. ANC - has definitely to be improved but not bad enjoyable while driving with anti wind option.. Fit - I was at first scared to use this expensive buds in my ear while driving that too in Indian roads..later no issue at all even at High speed..snug fit and comfortable.. without helmet. Touch controls - no problemo with touch response... responding fine.. Negative comments Ear tips/adapters: I don't the reason why they unnecessarily waste money by providing S,M,XS,L,XL etc.. should provide the option to customer to choose the appropriate size and provide atleast a pair extra alongwith the purchase. Mine is medium M size.. instead of all other sizes extra M eartips would have been worthy. Tips quality seems basic silicone and still the company fails to provide extra ear tips under accessories menu unavailable.. very frustrating from SENNHEISER.. Voice call: voice is not that audible under wind, noisy environment... ANC should be improved Equaliser and other features: not of much use.. shortly... no use..before the natural sound of SENNHEISER IPx4: at this cost it is the necessity of the brand to provide atleast ipx5 ..can be improved.. Ear tips: cushion foam premium ear tips could have been included Charging case: Play time on earphones can be increased and the size of the case be reduced . On the whole momentum 3 is almost there.. Biggest problem in earpods: I just met with an accident... A car hit my motor bike and the both ear buds flew away from my ears.. SENNHEISER must provide some ear hooks just to prevent these Expensive buds from flying away. Purchased CX plus special edition the audio quality is better than momentum 3. Charging case and earbuds are compact less weight than this

Pathetic experience / update
bought this item on October 23 and now it's just been 6 months and the right earbud stopped working. It's not charging nor the light comes on, just dead. It's supposed to have 2 years of warranty. How can such an international brand at such a steep price of 18k sell products which are not quality tested? Reminds me of 90s Chinese stuff. I am sure the same doesn't happen in the US and Europe with the same product sold by the same companies. Update: June 2024: Sent the non-working product to the service centre as prescribed on the Sennheiser website after filing a complaint (costed me Rs. 800) by courier (no free pick up available). After almost 1 and half months they have sent a fresh replacement. So, updating from 1 star to 3 stars.
