Cheap but bright and surprisingly durable.
I have 24 of these lights mounted in chains of six lights each and have had no issues with them. They're light weight and easy to mount, very bright, and extremely cost effective. They do feel cheap and flimsy, but I have dropped these onto concrete or had them fall over prior to mounting and they were not affected in the least. I have zero concerns about the durability of these lights. Each light comes with screws, hooks, plastic anchors and two chains. Mounting by chain is OK and allows for the height to be adjusted which came in handy hanging them between floor joists. The instructions give measurements to space the screws if using the keyholes on the back of the lights, but I have no time for that and simply drill a 9/64" hole on either end of the back plate in between the bulbs. That's a perfect size for #6 or #8 drywall screws and gets the light mounted in under a minute without needing to measure or fiddle about trying to align holes. For the price these lights can't be beat and I'll be getting another 20 or 24 to replace the lighting in my workshop and garages.

Exactly What I Needed To Start My Garden Seeds Indoors
These Hykolity 4FT LED shop lights were super easy to install, and they gave me bright, clean light for starting my vegetables indoors last year. They link together smoothly, stay nice and cool, and make it easy to see everything without shadows.

Cheapies But Seem To Be Goodies
Replacing a bunch of 8โ fluorescent fixtures in basement & barn. Started in basement with another brand and was very impressed. Those got a little pricier so I looked for an alternative and chose these, having the same specs. I am not disappointed. They are not 4โ, not even the housings. They have basically no reflector. They weigh next to nothing. I have no complaints about any of it! So much easier handling than old 40 pound fluorescent fixtures. They are very bright & throw plenty of nice colored light, illuminate and extinguish almost instantly, they illuminate in damp weather , expect cold will be the same as well, very low draw, the secret bonus - NO HUM burning my brain! The daisy chaining of shop style fixtures makes configuration and install easy though in my case I had to rework a lot of armored cable that daisy chained the old hardwired fixtures, I added switched outlet boxes. Drilled holes through the โreflectorsโ & screwed them to wood ceilings. If a light poops out, 10 minutes should have it replaced. If these lights work reliably for a few years, theyโre a bargain.

Bright light, but with a minor annoyance...
I installed 6 of these fixtures hanging from open rafters in my garage, replacing old fluorescent fixtures. I'm very happy with the light level and ease of installation. These are not high-end fixtures, so I consider the quality adequate for the intended use and price point. My sole issue is with a noise that they make after being turned on. All six units make an intermittent and non-rhythmic "ticking" sound for the first 5 minutes or so of use. It sounds exactly like a determined flying bug trying to smash itself into a light source. Every time I turn them on, I look up expecting to see a flying beetle or something similar smacking into it, but it's only the fixture making the noise. All 6 behave the same. I can't verify the source of the sound, but I imagine that as the electronics in the unit heat up a bit, something expands and it makes this sound. In my garage installation, this is slightly annoying, but not bad enough to replace them. It's not loud, just attention-getting. I was intending to put another set in a basement work area, but in that situation it would drive me nuts. So to recap: I'm happy with these really bright lamps, but troubled by the unintended sounds they emit.

Impressed with the lights!
I bought this product after doing a fair amount of research. I have a 2 car garage with 10 foot ceiling and before purchasing these lights, the only source of light in the garage came from 2 BR30 bulbs (flood lights). They produce about 500 lumens each for reference. When I got my 4 pack of these LED shop lights they arrived without damage to the packaging. The metal housing of the units is a bit flimsy, but I was not bothered by this as it keeps the weight of the fixture down. More on that later. The cord on each unit measures just over 5 feet. I decided ahead of time to place all four bulbs on one side of the garage. This is the area where I do most of my woodworking. I have basic electrical skills and was able to add an electric outlet into the ceiling by splicing into the existing bulb fixture. This way the lights are controlled by my existing switch. The tricky part for me is I wanted these new lights "flush mounted" with the ceiling. This was an issue because while the units are built to be flush mounted, the holes you need to drill are at a very odd interval (~46 1/2" although don't quote me on that) and the error for margin is about 0.2". I don't know about you, but when perched atop a ladder, 8 feet in the air and drilling upside down, I'm not that accurate so I knew I would need to improvise. The important part of the light design is that there are no wires anywhere in flimsy metal shield, so you can in fact, drill a hole ANYWHERE in the shield. I drilled 2 holes in each shield, spaced about 48" apart. I then ran a screw with a fender washer from the bottom (bulb side of the fixture) up through the shield and into the ceiling joints. If your joists run perpendicular to how you want to hang your lights, this is the only way that both screws supporting your units will go into your ceiling joints. Since the units are so light, you could easily use a drywall anchor in the ceiling and mount them that way. Make sure to use one that actually screws into the drywall like these. (https://www.amazon.com/Homedone-Drywall-Anchor-50-Pack-Self-Drilling/dp/B01KVU4Z68/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1498340460&sr=8-11&keywords=drywall+anchor). My point is don't be afraid to drill holes in the shield, so long as you are careful not to hit the bulb when the drill punches through! The amount of light given off by one fixture was amazing. Honestly, I could have used 2 lights for each bay of the garage and been done with the project, but since I had 4, and they are really rather inexpensive, I placed all 4 in a single garage bay, and I am so happy. There light is so bright and there are no shadows or dim spots since the light is coming from 4 different places. I can not even begin to describe the difference between one BR30 bulb vs 4 of these shop lights. WOW! I intend to by 2 more lights for the other side of my garage.

Very Bright and Coverage for Large Area
After living with a basement dimly lit with outdated CFL tubes for 20+ years, I decided it was time for an upgrade and this light package was just what I needed! I was a bit skeptical about the quality after reading some reviews that said the metal was flimsy, but I found the product to be very good quality all around and an incredible value for the money. Prior to purchasing this kit, my basement was lit by a combination of a single CFL tube lighting fixture (with 2 CFL tubes) and a few sporadically placed LED bulbs. I bought this kit primarily to light the area of my 2 workbenches, but after realizing how great the lighting was, used the extra 2 fixtures to light my food and general storage areas. As you can see from the pictures, the kit does an excellent job lighting up my entire basement, which is about 1,000 square feet. In addition to throwing off a great amount of white light, I also really like that the lights can be "linked" together through the embedded outlet so that when one is turned on the others also automatically go on. The on/off rocker switch is well placed and the 5' long cord is a good length to reach nearby outlets. All in all, I am extremely happy with this purchase and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a lighting upgrade for a large area, such as a basement or garage.

Great support, bright lights
These lights are great and the support is too. Some reviews say the lights are not heavy enough and flimsy, they are but how heavy do you want a light fixture! They could easily be stiffened up like my old florescent lights which had folded edges of metal the length of the light. These don't have any roll or fold to stiffen them but once they're up they're of course fine. They are pretty darn bright too! I'd try to hang them a high as possible since when mine were lower the area between fixtures seemed very dark since directly under them is so bright. If they're higher the light has a little more distance to spread out and illuminate more evenly. It's super convenient to be able to link them together by just plugging one into another that's plugged into a receptacle. They start instantly and are not effected by cold, it was in the single digits f when I unpacked and tested them. I initially thought I had a problem with them and emailed the company. They responded within 10 minutes and were fantastic to deal with. I will definitely be ordering more of these as my old florescent ballasts go. I'll be watching the prices though... when I added them to my wish list the 4 pack of white ones was $59, 2 days later when I ordered them they were $69, now they're up to $89.99! If the price comes back down I'll order more, but until then I'll be listening to my old flickering buzzing florescent lights.

Great Lights
Hi had been looking for LED lights for my basement and did not want to spend a lot. I tried these lights and so far, they are fantastic. They are very bright, that's not an issue. I have a 1400 square foot basement and I think I will use 8 to light up the entire space. 8 is probably more than I need but since they come in packs of 4 and I decided to use all 8 in the space. For $10/light, this is a no brainer. I put them up with white duct tape, I can't be bothered lining up the screws. I have cross pieces in my basement ceiling so I decided just to wrap both ends with duct tape and you don't even know they are up with duct tape. I am not sure about the longevity, just purchased them and I don't know about electricity usage, but so far I am really. pleased. I will put some in my garage as well. If you are looking for some good lighting for a space like a basement or garage, these are a good solution. The other nice thing is you can just use a three prong adapter and plug them into any existing light socket. Got them up in 10 minutes, once I decided to use the duct tape. Would highly recommend!
