Excellent replacement part. Took me longer to remove the years of crumbs etc from the toaster than it did to fit this!

Fiddly to fit and started producing smoke

Replacing this element should have worked, but it started producing smoke as soon as the toaster was switched on. It was also rather fiddly to fit and necessitated buying a tiny spanner which should have been included with the element. Oh well, time for a new toaster.
