Where can you buy extra pillowcases for this pillow?

I don’t know where…but I would contact the store (thru Amazon). If you pull up the pillow in Amazon there should be a spot to contact the seller when you click on the store name.

How to recycle excess padding?

Recycle? Didn’t do that. I pulled out extra filling and threw it away.

Is a washable cover available?

Don’t know if there is a cover to purchase separately, but it does say it is washable and dryable…we have not had to wash it yet…you could take all then down fill out and wash the cover and put it back in when dry if you do not want to wash it whole

Is it sturdy enough to sit on?

Probably. I didn't buy it for that nor have I tried it. It is small and was too thick for me to sleep on with my normal pillow. Although there is a zipper which allowed me to take out excess stuffing.
