Classic Grass Fed Beef Steak Slices, Keto, 2 oz, Pack of 2

I have histamine intolerance and terrible food sensitivities. I also love jerky (beef, bison, turkey, elk, and so on). Unfortunately, most jerky on the market is saturated in soy sauce and black pepper (both high histamine), is made from OLD meat (higher histamine!), and has a large number of ingredients (many of which are high histamine and/or a food sensitivity); I can have a running nose immediately and heartburn quickly that lasts hours after consuming. Dear god, have I tried most of the pastured and organic jerky out there! If I was in better health, I would certainly try to make my own, but, FINALLY, here's Brooklyn Biltong's "Naked"-- high quality beef, great flavor, and only 3 ingredients! I had ZERO histamine issues and ZERO heartburn. Considering I'm on the carnivore diet per doctor and nutritionist's recommendation for GI tract healing, I need more than what I can cook, and snacks to take with me... look no more! My three "cons" with "Naked" biltong, which may or may not be how it is for all flavors, are that it is moderately greasy, a bit stringy and hard to chew for some pieces, and the individual pieces are pretty small (there's a lot in each bag, though!). It's just not the easiest casual snack when you're out and about. Having a napkin handy and knowing where you can wash your hands is probably ideal... Ultimately, I appreciate everything about this product and I find the pure flavor to be so pleasant after years of over-seasoned jerky. I've finally found my snack staple! The only thing that could make it better... a little more for a little less $$, but that's not the way food is trending.

This product is very tasty. It is quite tender yet will last if you choose to chew it slowly and savor it. I need extra protein in my diet, so I snack on this. Very satisfying.

Used to be pretty good but has been going down hill, this latest batch is horrible. Very fatty and so greasy/oily it’s practically dripping off. I don’t understand how this passes QC or equivalent. I’d consider this not edible. All pieces are this way, see photo

I got hooked on Brooklyn Biltong when Costco had large bags for under $20. Since they ran out I've been buying on Amazon for over 3 x's I paid at Costco. This product is great for my carnivore diet. HOWEVER, in my prior Amazon order I had to throw away 2 of these bags because they were RANCID. I also returned 1 bag to Costco in the past. When the quality is perfect, this is a great product. ALSO, in this order my first 2 bags so far literally tastes like pickles. Brooklyn Biltong, you have a serious quality control issue. That, or maybe Amazon's warehouse environment is doing something to it. Very disappointed lately.

Very good quality with minimal ingredients. Comes in small strips and pieces. Price is high but you pay for quality.

The items arrived on time and packed well. I purchased the Biltong at the urging of an avid Springboks fan who insisted that I have my first taste of Biltong. It is an interesting taste. It’s not unpleasant just different from American beef jerky. I will purchase more as it’s a long Rugby season and I need the proper snacks.

It’s my first time buying from this company and the flavors seemed intriguing as well as the clean ingredients, I saw others talk about the chewiness or the amount given and thought that maybe idk it was “just them”, I was wrong. As you can see in the picture I just opened the bag and the slices given are so mediocre and falling apart as if its the bottom of a chip bag, I gave it at least two stars since the flavor is pretty good but it’s insanely CHEWY. I kept trying pieces thinking that maybe it was just the piece I grabbed but all of them are so chewy to the point it turns into a gum from me chewing it. I feel so upset and disappointed honestly. Hope that if you decide to buy it you get a better experience.

Love this stuff. Best jerky you can get that’s not crazy expensive and doesn’t have a ton of extra stuff in it.
