The box is well constructed and sturdy. It is solid wood with a hinged lid and carrying handles attached to the sides. The interior is nicely lined with a heavy material with multiple sections to put your silverware. It is quite large, so be sure you have a space to store it. Overall very nice storage box that I expect will last for many years.

I love this chest. Holds so much! Great quality. Slots are spaced well and lined nicely. Over 24 place settings with multiple specialty and serving pieces all fit nicely.

The chest seems to be more capacious and solidly built than others on the market. However, the quality is not great. This is actually the second identical chest I purchased - for the reasons described in the first sentence of this review. The wood appears to be a relatively thin veneer and is a slightly odd color - more of an orangey brown rather than rosewood. The first chest had 2 surface blemishes; the second has a drawer that is slightly askew. Nonetheless, the integrity of the chest appears to be greater and the item more durable than alternative choices.

It's well made - a quality item. Actually, I already reviewed it! The color was not at all like that shown on line - the recipient of my gift wanted a mahogany color and the one I recieved was striped.

Well made - Fits our 32 place settings of Silver with no problem. I just was expecting a little deeper tones of wood grain from the rosewood cabinet.
