Henny Penny (Folk Tale Classics)

Want a book your tiny children will just love? Henny Penny may be just that. Our daughter loved and heard it so much, she could eventually say it along with us as we read. Her little voice and word pronunciation were so adorable. Though many years have passed, memories of this still warm my heart. Just sharing, in case you might have a similar experience.

The story is a good classic story. With lessons to learn and. And easy to read.

Really enjoy and live this book. Originally bought a copy for my sons school curriculum but fell in love with this silly chicken little type tail it is a great book to open conversation about trusting tricky people and stranger danger. We have purchased extra coppies to gift instead of card we have been writing personal note in books that we gift with the present. I highly recomend this book.

This is a classic book. Ending is a little sad but it's a part of learning.

I loved this story growing up, but I did forget all the birds get eaten by the fox at the end of the book! So if your child is sensitive to death, I’d skip this book! It’s kind of like Aesop fable with a moral to learn; which is don’t be easily taken advantage of. Like you should not listen to everyone just because what they say sounds good, you need to know truth and be discerning of other people having sneaky/bad motives. Other than that the hardback is well make, love the illustrations, fun tongue twister like I remembered! Also I got it to read to my 2 year old who loves the silly names, but a 7-8 year old could enjoy reading this by themselves!

This is the classic Henny Penny from my youth, but if you are wanting to get a copy for your children or grandchildren I suggest looking up the newer version. This one has a very dark ending. There's a newer version that fixed that.

Classic children’s story. Kiddo loves and the whole family enjoy reading it to kiddo.

One of my favorite stories at a great price and quality! Hardcover means it’ll be durable, lasting a long time in little hands.

This is a classic tale and who better to tell it than Paul Galdone with his exceptional and humorously expressive artwork. Stunning, a real joy to look at.

Great reading

The story is classic but the illustrations brought it to life. Great to read to my grandson who soon picked up the names!!
