I decided to go with the brand instead of the generic since the generic always have bad reviews. Can’t complain since have no comparison reference with anything different, but it feels quality and makes my life easier. I usually let my air purifier tell me when to replace it, even when it doesn’t look super dirty, but oh well if it’s not broken don’t fix it

My family and I live in a very dusty semi-agricultural area. We used to suffer a lot during the harvest season when a great deal of dust was kicked up. My daughter had to go to a doctor who specialized in allergies and we thought she may even need to get shots for them. However, before going to that extreme I thought I'd try an air filter and these filters work really well. I change them every other month or so as indicated by the machine and I also bought small filters for the kids' rooms. Their health has improved dramatically. These filters in particular are very easy to change out and I am very happy with the product. They are not very easy to find in local stores but are easy to order on Amazon.

I love hiw it keeps the air in my room clean. It runs quietly. The functionality is great. There is no smell. It traps Allergens and it's easy to change.

Long lasting filter than fits well

Works very well especially for the price paid. One thing I don't like at all is the reset button is extremely hard to get to since it is right behind the small grill -it takes me several attempts at pushing it and I'm afraid I will damage something because the whole "board" that the button is attached to moves. Instructions for cleaning the "lens" are vague in the little manual that came with the unit. I realized a couple weeks ago after reading another comment that you need to pull the foam piece back in order to clean the lens. I would like to comment that in my situation at least, the filter doesn't last anywhere close to 6 months and the filters are expensive. In fairness I do have the unit where it picks up kitchen odors.

First off this is an excellent air purifier which I use on my first floor. It can't possibly keep the entire floor clean of dust, so I simply move it from area to area every couple of days. I believe I made a slight mistake by "listening" to the filter replacement light. I replaced what I think was a perfectly still usable 2 element filter too soon. I think with careful vacuuming with a soft brush attachment, I could have just cleaned the pre-filter as the rest of the filters looked like new. Perhaps I will go with cleaning the pre-filter one time (reset the filter button) and then replace the entire filter system on the second Filter light warning. I own the room sized version of this LEVOIT and this is exactly what I do with it. BUT it's first filter is just a porous "sponge" disc which is very easily cleaned.

I've been using these original filters since 2019- and with pets- with periodic vacuuming of the exterior filter every year or so- and, 6 yrs later, the original filters seem to still be working great! :) The air always feels cleaner and fresher after using the Levoit. Wondering from other users- is the 6 month mandatory filter replacement recommendation from Levoit TRULY necessary for functionality?

Is a considerable purchase. It is so worth it if you have a second hand smoke problem. I live in a place that you would consider almost like a duplex. The lady next to me is a chain smoker. And every time I hear came on or my air conditioner ran I couldn't breathe. It would start upstairs and take about five or six hours overnight to where it just hung over the couch. I would turn this on high, until I got under control, and then I would turn it down to medium. What a difference!
