No instruction as to how to release the carrier to allow it to be cleans and the blade is difficult to take off and replace, the plastic carrier tray squeeks as it is slid forward and back. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Awful heap of junk! *by M***Z on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 September 2023* I used it for slicing sourdough bread. Takes a while to figure out the assembly. Then the blade struggles to penetrate, distorting the loaf. Some of the crust gets stuck under the blade, causing a blockage. The thing squeals as you slide it through. Then you have to clear up the awful mess it makes and wash all the many parts. The blade itself is not too bad to remove but is so difficult to replace as the cogs that drive it have to be in perfect alignment as well as the lugs in the centre. I wish l had returned it. Looking at other electric slicers in the price range though, l think they would all suffer the same issues.
