I would get terrible night sweats every night and my mood was very erratic. I tried another cream, but it only seemed to make me feel worse. I read "Sex, Lies and Menopause" and think I am perimenopausal. When I finally saw a doctor she recommended this cream. She uses this cream on herself and I have been as well. I use 1/4tsp on the insides of my arms and legs twice a day. My doctor says it's important to switch off areas so I don't build up dominance in one spot. I think I might use this stuff for the rest of my life, because I notice an immediate difference if I don't take it!Edit (1/1/13): I still use this cream twice a day. If I go without it for a half a day I will notice that I get a little anxious/moody. I tried the Emerita progesterone cream since writing this review in an effort of saving money, but it was not nearly as good as this brand is. Also, some women stop taking this during their menstrual cycle, but I apply it twice a day every day and still get periods.Update (6-16-16) I'm 37 now and quit the cream a month ago to see if I could go without it. I've done that a few times, but kept getting intense night sweats so I'd always go back and have to apply it every day, which is more than what the directions call for.Well, this time I did not get night sweats so I went until my period to see how I felt. I am on day 2 of my period and I vomited last night. The nausea is so intense and I recall vomiting monthly for a half a year right before I found this cream. I think I didn't mention that before because I was embarrassed, but I don't care anymore if I think it'll help someone.So, I plan to start applying this cream again, but to only apply it as the directions state, which is not every day, as I had been applying it, since it seems the intense night sweats have subsided. Menstruating women are directed to take it on days 12-26 of their cycles. Hopefully it makes this debilitating nausea during my period go away again!(Update 7/2016) I'm so glad I started up using this product every day this past month. My period is back to normal! No nausea/vomiting, milder cramps. Thank goodness for this product!!!I was so scared after being sick for three days in a row during my last period, so I decided to use it every day, which is what my doctor said I could do back when I first started it. I still menstruate just fine. I've never missed a period.(Update 4/21/2020)Now that I take Evening Primrose Oil, mint and ginger regularly the pain of my cramps seems better. When I feel my period will start soon (PMSing) I now stop using Kokoro and it seems like the periods seem stronger, but not the cramps. I will continue following the directions. Also, I started buying the bigger version of this and squeezing it into the jar since it's a little cheaper that way. ;)8/2022 Update: Well not sure what happened but I started getting sick during my cycle again regularly. It was so annoying to literally be so sick that I was throwing up every month. Therefore I decided to go on birth control and I am so glad I did.
