This product is another huge victory for m48! I see a few people complaining about the size in the comments/ reviews, those folks are goofy and didn't read the clear discription and measurements. If you buy something that tells you the exact measurements of the item, and then are upset with the size later when it appears, that's on you not the company. Read the description. If you do not read the description in the measurements that are clearly given for this item and you cannot complain that it's quote on quote smaller than you thought it was... Because you never thought lol. If you want a larger product than perhaps by one of the many larger products like a spear or sea hunting harpoon 😂🤦 Ok so my review; the m48 harpoon is a great utilitarian survival tool! It's very sharp and even better a very heavy edge that holds well for prolonged periods of time if you know how to sharpen correctly. Remember this is not a Barber's razor, this is a much thicker and harder cast piece of steel. It has remarkable shapes that make it incredibly utilitarian. This can easily be used in 10 to 15 different practical applications in any survival hunting or camping situation. But it stands out the most in the survival category, again because of all the practical applications. Because if it's small size it is incredibly easy to fit into any go bag. It's durability is definitely a huge advantage compared to other harpoons or Spears. Yet it's light enough to not feel any additional weight added to your go bag :) GREAT PRODUCT! Please read the discription before ordering and complaining.

Very sharp and wicked little spear knife thing?! Sturdy and holds an edge very well. Be carefull with the sheath. It's a tricky sucker. Go slow till u get the hang of it. Trust me. I've side lashed it to a pole for frog gigging and it stayed put pretty well, but that's a skill u need to practice at. And so do I. Slick looking tool and a little smaller in person but it gets the point across. Nope, I ain't gonna say it. Hope this review helped.

Alot smaller then I thought it was for the price

OK so i don't collect knives so i didn't just buy this because i thought it looked cool. i had just recently bought the m48 survival shovel and i loved that product united cutlery made, so i decided to stick with united cutlery for my next purchase. i had been looking for a knife that would easily attach to a stick like a walking stick without having to use alot of 550 cord to jerry rig something together. i also wanted this knife to be small with a decent sheath. the knife would go in my wifes bug out bag for her to use like a spear to keep enemy's a good distance away from her. i did my research on the hawk harpoon and bought it. when it arrived i thought the size was perfect and it had just the right amount of weight to it. i attached it to a old mop stick with many different methods of securing the harpoon to the stick. i used 550 cord, zip ties, ss hose clamps, screws, nails, speaker wire, and i used large cable locks. the harpoon held together well for all of them. i tested its strength by throwing it into the dirt, a tree, and at some cardboard boxes to get it to stick. the blade was still in good shape and i couldn't see any damage to the blade. i was happy to see the harpoon had did everything i wanted it to do. the sheath is "so so" it holds the harpoon tight but it can be an issue to get off with just one hand. i probably will never use this knife again in my life but if something does happen i at least know its in my wife's bag and she can use it for protection.

The M48 hawk harpoon is very well made. it comes sharpened in the box and is very sharp. However i have an issue with the sheath and the size. The sheath makes it very difficult to put away and pull out the knife, but that shouldn't deter you. the knife could be alil bigger but for its size works very well. I modified my sheath for a quicker draw and its fairly easy to do but im not going to put that on here. if you want the specifics of that email me at [email protected] , all in all this is a very very nice product.

It's very small, and tge sheath doesn't work well at all very hard to remove.

Good quality sturdy knife. However, I personally don't like the curve in the blade

although this is a small harpoon type tool it is well thought of and really easy to attach to a stick or pole of some material and the weight of the "poon" is just as I expected for a accurate through with little practice... the rubber sheath is kind of awkward to remove the poon easily but I fixed that with the para cord add on to the handle base hole and with a little practice the poon will remove cleanly from the sheath, at any rate it's not for speed defense but more useful for a hunting spear! Thanks for a quality item, m-48 is the best of the line, as far as my opinion.

This was definately a good purchase. This item is unusal and very sharp. It it great for training exercises. Definately a good purchase!

Wieder ein M48, da kann man nichts falsch machen, gut gearbeitet und fairer Preis.

Die Spitze läuft etwas zu schmall zu, was sie leichter verbiegen lässt wenn man einen harten Untergrund trifft. Ansonsten Gute Verarbeitung und sichere Hülle. Preis ist etwas hoch, da es ziemlich klein Ausfällt und somit recht ''haltlos'' in der Hand liegt.
