Very Good Jackstands for A Reasonable Price
I don't know what is all the fusses about? For $20, I got a nice pair of jackstands that will take the weigh of my car when I am under it. It is sure hell a lot more stable and secured than the scissor jacks that most of the complainers crawled udner their cars for years. I did not find any problem with the welding for my jacks. If someone wants to have perfect welding on their jacks, I suggest they should be paying x2 or 3x more or do it themselves. I think that my pair of jacks will last my life time even if I used the darned thing every day for the next 50 years but most of the people don't even crawl under their cars more than once a month. If they do, they should invest in another car. I preferred these locking jackstands so there won't be any accident waiting to happen as the jack will not slip on the stand base once I lock it. Once I put either the front or the rear ends of my cars on these jacks and choke the other wheels, the car is not going anywhere. If people need a higher jacks, they should have buy the 3 ton SUV jacks instead. They complained about the wrong jacks because they just don't want to take any responsibility for their own ignorance just like they bitched on the government policy but keep sending idiots to Washington DC.

Locking pins slip out too easily!
I like these jack stands. Actually used them today for a brake bleed and differential fluid service on my BMW. They are sturdy and look well made. They have some pretty good weight to them. I just don’t like the secondary locking pins. They slip out too easily for me. They don’t actually lock in place for that added security!

Gave me confidence while sticking my neck under my car
Worked like a charm to hold up each axle of my BMW E46 3-Series while I was changing the brakes. For the most part, safety wasn't a concern because to change the brakes you don't need to get under the car at all. But for the right-rear brake wear sensor you have to stick your head under where the right passenger door is. The sensor has a long cable that routes through the suspension with lots of clips holding it in place. It's a bit scary sticking your head under a heavy metal object, but with the jack stands holding it up, I had almost no fear. One bit of advice: Remember that in order to use these jack stands on many cars, you can't lift your car with the jack that came with the car because on many cars there are only two points on either side of the car from which you can lift. And if you're using a jack to lift the car, you have no place to rest the car down onto the jack stands. In order to lift the car onto jack stands you need something like a trolley jack to lift the whole rear end or whole front end of the car. On my car there are frame brackets right near the front and rear differentials (my car is AWD). Place the trolley jack under each of those, lift it up, and drop onto the jack stands. For extra safety, keep the trolley jack under the frame brackets in case something happens.

I’ve always thought buying things like axle stands online are a bit of a risk so I spent a lot of time researching before I bought. These come in a decent box which is handy for storage. The stands appear well made, welds are substantial and neat, no sharp edges anywhere and the red finish looks good. They’re easy to assemble and there is a tag for bending to keep the ratchet jack parts in place in the frame (personally I’ve not used these so I can easily dismantle for storage). Security pins are good quality and fit nicely. I’ve used them twice so far to lift a 3 Series BMW so well under the 2 tonne capacity. Easy to use and felt safe and secure getting underneath with both front wheels removed. Just the Job! Plenty of height available and the car felt stable enough to loosen off some seized fasteners on the front suspension.

Important item if you are going to lift your vehicle for services like swapping snow tires. Well made standard set of jack stands. Not so light that they feel flimsy and but light enough to carry around easily. Secondary locking pin is a must have safety. Recommend

I have used these jackstands in conjunction with a Big Red 2 ton trolley jack for my BMW E46 in order to perform some rudimentary, routine maintenance and it has performed flawlessly. I used this recently on a 10 hour job to repair a leaking oil filter housing gasket, oil change and swapping in new pulleys, and they remained sturdy. I never felt unsafe even during extended periods under my car. I also used the trolley jack to provide secondary support under the front subframe. Finally, its important you select this variant with the locking pins for extra safety. There is a cheaper of version of these stands without the locking pin which I don't recommend. Spend the extra for peace of mind. Just make sure the locking pins do make sufficient contact with the "teeth". Some users have reported that the locking pins make little to no contact which I presume is a manufacturing defect.
