The rods are well made but the clasp does not secure the rods in place; she had to use large pins or clips to hold them securely- otherwise, they flopped down and left a gap in the curl at the scalp of about an inch. Like last year and just got around to using them today. They have been stored in air conditioning and there is nothing wrong with the bands’ strength. However they are not designed the best. As I was wrapping my client’s hair, the bands kept popping off. Both from the cap and the bottom of the rods. I spent an extra 20-30 minutes wrapping because I had to keep putting them back together. Then when my perm was processing 2 more popped and I could not get them put back together. I am literally going to just throw these away and buy them at a beauty supply. They were also really hard to close and just as hard to take off. I did a perm two days ago with white rods and had absolutely no issues. I think one popped and I fixed it and had no other problems. I rarely write bad reviews but it was just so ridiculously annoying and time consuming to work with these. It may not look so bad in the video but it’s different when your client’s hair is rolled up in it and you’re struggling to close them. I am a professional and have done hundreds of perms.
